Cambodia's tourism potential has drawn immense interest from European citizens, to the extent that prominent European travel magazines (Wanderlust & Geo) have featured Cambodia in their special editions

His Excellency HUOT Hak, Minister of Tourism, held a working discussion and exchanged views with Mr. Nick Ray, a film expert, co-owns of Hanuman Films, and World Bank Tourism Specialist. The discussion focused on strengthening cooperation between the Ministry of Tourism and Hanuman Films to promote Cambodia's tourism potential in the European market, particularly the United Kingdom, elevate Cambodia's image and reputation globally, and discuss strategies to attract international filmmakers to shoot in Cambodia. This builds on the country's fame from the renowned Hollywood film Tomb Raider, as well as promotes Cambodia's reputation and tourism potential in Wanderlust and Geomagazines, a concrete and fruitful result of this excellent cooperation.

Luxembourg Embassy Affirms Stance to Support the Ministry of Tourism in Training and Human Resource Development in Tourism and Hospitality

His Excellency Hout Hak, Minister of Tourism, granted an audience to Mr. Thomas Lammar, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Luxembourg to the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, in charge of development cooperation for the Kingdom of Cambodia, along with senior colleagues, to pay a courtesy call and discuss the strengthening and expansion of tourism cooperation between the Kingdom of Cambodia and Luxembourg at the Ministry of Tourism Headquarters

During this fruitful meeting, His Excellency the Minister extended a warm welcome to Mr. Thomas Lammar and expressed gratitude to the Government and people of Luxembourg for their continued support in strengthening friendly relations and cooperation with Cambodia. Particular appreciation was noted for their interest and support toward the Vocational School of Tourism (VST) of the Ministry of Tourism, demonstrated through two previous high-level delegation visits. His Excellency the Minister also emphasized that this meeting reflects the joint and practical commitment of both countries to continuously strengthen and expand cooperation in the tourism sector, as well as foster closer people-to-people exchanges.

Additionally, His Excellency the Minister briefed the delegation on Cambodia's political, economic, and social landscape, alongside the development of its tourism sector. He affirmed that Cambodia remains a peaceful, stable, and safe tourism destination offering warm hospitality. He also highlighted the campaigns "Cambodia: Kingdom of Wonder, Feel the Warmth" and "Visit Cambodia in the Green Season", as well as ongoing collaborations with tourism companies, airlines, content creators, and international media to promote Cambodia's tourist destinations and enhance travel connectivity for greater ease and safety.

In response, the Chargé d’Affaires highlighted that tourism is considered a priority sector under the Cambodia-Luxembourg Indicative Cooperation Programme. He reaffirmed Luxembourg's commitment to participating in the development of human resources in tourism and hospitality up to the high standards and reputation for which Luxembourg is globally recognized as a leading nation in these fields.

During this productive discussion, His Excellency the Minister expressed profound gratitude for the Royal Government of Luxembourg's assistance in developing Cambodia's tourism sector. His Excellency the Minister further requested the Embassy's cooperation in promoting Cambodia's rich tourism destinations and potential; organizing Familiarization (FAM) trips for the private sector and media from Luxembourg to explore Cambodia's tourism potential and investment opportunities; promoting investment in the tourism sector; and enhancing people-to-people exchanges to increase tourist flows and further solidify cooperation between the two nations.

It should be noted that as of 2026, official diplomatic relations between Cambodia and Luxembourg span several decades and have been continuously strengthened and expanded across numerous sectors. This is especially highlighted by the royal visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia by His Royal Highness Crown Prince Guillaume Jean Joseph Marie of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, accompanied by His Excellency Xavier Bettel, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, and Minister for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs, from March 29 to April 2, 2025. For this year, 2026, a new chapter of cooperation is being forged specifically within the tourism sector.

នាឱកាសនោះដែរ ឯកឧត្តមរដ្ឋមន្ត្រី បានលើកទឹកចិត្តដល់ម្ចាស់អាជីវកម្ម សិប្បករ និងអ្នកផលិតក្នុងស្រុក ឱ្យបន្តពង្រឹងគុណភាពផលិតផល បង្កើនភាពច្នៃប្រឌិតក្នុងការរចនា និងអភិវឌ្ឍផលិតផលថ្មីៗ ដែលឆ្លើយតបទៅនឹងតម្រូវការ និងនិន្នាការរបស់ទីផ្សារទេសចរណ៍ ខណៈនៅតែរក្សាបាននូវអត្តសញ្ញាណ វប្បធម៌ និងស្នាដៃសិល្បៈខ្មែរ។

H.E. HUOT Hak Visits a Ceramic Handicraft Workshop in Siem Reap Province to Promote Cambodian Handicrafts and Strengthen Linkages with the Tourism Sector

H.E. HUOT Hak, Minister of Tourism, visited and inspected a ceramic handicraft workshop in Siem Reap Province to gain firsthand insights into its production processes, product design and development, as well as the potential of ceramic handicrafts to contribute to the development of tourism products and souvenirs that embody Cambodia’s unique cultural identity.

On the occasion, H.E. the Minister encouraged business owners, artisans, and local producers to continue enhancing product quality, fostering creativity in design, and developing new products that respond to the evolving needs and trends of the tourism market, while preserving Cambodia’s cultural identity, heritage, and artistic craftsmanship.

H.E. the Minister also encouraged the development of creative tourism experiences by enabling visitors to observe the ceramic-making process, learn about traditional craftsmanship, and participate directly in making or decorating ceramic products. Such activities have the potential to become new tourism products that enrich and diversify visitor experiences in Siem Reap Province.

The visit and on-site inspection reflect continued attention to diversifying tourism products and creating greater added value, while promoting “Made in Cambodia” products as an integral part of the visitor experience. This will contribute to the development of Cambodia’s tourism sector with greater quality, resilience, and sustainability.

ឯកឧត្តម ហួត ហាក់ រដ្ឋមន្ត្រីក្រសួងទេសចរណ៍ បានអញ្ជើញជាអធិបតីក្នុងពិធីចុះហត្ថលេខាលើអនុស្សរណៈនៃការយោគយល់គ្នា (MoU) រវាងក្រសួងទេសចរណ៍ តំណាងដោយ ឯកឧត្តម សុង តុងហាប់ រដ្ឋលេខាធិការក្រសួងទេសចរណ៍ និងធនាគារ អេស៊ីលីដា ភីអិលស៊ី តំណាងដោយ លោកបណ្ឌិត អ៉ិន ចាន់នី ប្រធាននាយកប្រតិបត្តិ ស្តីពី «ការប្រើប្រាស់សេវាកម្មរបស់ធនាគារ អេស៊ីលីដា សម្រាប់ប្រតិបត្តិការទទួលកម្រៃសេវាពីសេវាសាធារណៈតាមប្រព័ន្ធទូទាត់អេឡិចត្រូនិក (e-Payment)»។

អនុស្សរណៈនៃការយោគយល់គ្នានេះ មានគោលបំណងលើកកម្ពស់ប្រសិទ្ធភាព ភាពងាយស្រួល និងទំនើបកម្មនៃការផ្តល់សេវាសាធារណៈរបស់ក្រសួងទេសចរណ៍ តាមរយៈការប្រើប្រាស់ប្រព័ន្ធទូទាត់ឌីជីថល ព្រមទាំងពង្រឹងភាពជាដៃគូរវាងស្ថាប័នរដ្ឋ និងវិស័យឯកជន ដើម្បីរួមចំណែកជំរុញបរិវត្តកម្មឌីជីថល និងគាំទ្រដល់ការអភិវឌ្ឍវិស័យទេសចរណ៍កម្ពុជា។

កិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការនេះ គឺជាផ្លែផ្កាបន្តពីជំនួបពិភាក្សាលើកទី១ រវាងក្រសួងទេសចរណ៍ និងធនាគារ អេស៊ីលីដា កាលពីថ្ងៃទី២៦ ខែមីនា ឆ្នាំ២០២៥ និងជាជំហានថ្មីមួយក្នុងការពង្រីកកិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការរវាងស្ថាប័នទាំងពីរឱ្យកាន់តែទូលំទូលាយ និងមានប្រសិទ្ធភាព។

ថ្លែងក្នុងឱកាសនោះ ឯកឧត្តមរដ្ឋមន្ត្រី បានកោតសរសើរចំពោះសមិទ្ធផល និងការរួមចំណែករបស់ធនាគារ អេស៊ីលីដា ក្នុងការអភិវឌ្ឍវិស័យហិរញ្ញវត្ថុ និងលើកស្ទួយជីវភាពប្រជាពលរដ្ឋ ព្រមទាំងការចូលរួមគាំទ្រដល់វិស័យទេសចរណ៍កន្លងមក តាមរយៈការប្រើប្រាស់ប្រព័ន្ធឌីជីថល ការផ្សព្វផ្សាយសក្តានុពលទេសចរណ៍ និងការឧបត្ថម្ភគាំទ្រព្រឹត្តិការណ៍បុណ្យទន្លេ និងបុណ្យសមុទ្រ ព្រមទាំងកម្មវិធីទេសចរណ៍នានាផងដែរ។

ឯកឧត្តមរដ្ឋមន្ត្រី បានគូសបញ្ជាក់ថា៖ «ការចុះហត្ថលេខាលើអនុស្សរណៈនៃការយោគយល់គ្នានេះ មិនមែនជាទីបញ្ចប់នៃកិច្ចសហប្រតិបត្តិការនោះទេ ប៉ុន្តែជាចំណុចចាប់ផ្តើមដ៏មានសារៈសំខាន់ ដើម្បីពង្រីកភាពជាដៃគូរវាងក្រសួងទេសចរណ៍ និងធនាគារ អេស៊ីលីដា ឱ្យកាន់តែទូលំទូលាយ ដោយប្រើប្រាស់បច្ចេកវិទ្យា និងសក្តានុពលរបស់វិស័យឯកជន ចូលរួមជំរុញការអភិវឌ្ឍវិស័យទេសចរណ៍កម្ពុជាឱ្យកាន់តែមានភាពធន់ ភាពប្រកួតប្រជែង និងចីរភាព»។

បន្ថែមពីនេះ ឯកឧត្តមរដ្ឋមន្ត្រី ក៏បានស្នើឱ្យធនាគារ អេស៊ីលីដា បន្តចូលរួមគាំទ្រព្រឹត្តិការណ៍ជាតិ និងអន្តរជាតិសំខាន់ៗដែលកម្ពុជាគ្រោងរៀបចំនាពេលខាងមុខ ជាពិសេសកិច្ចប្រជុំកំពូលហ្រ្វង់កូហ្វូនី និង «ភូមិហ្រ្វង់កូហ្វូនី» ដែលនឹងក្លាយជាវេទិកាដ៏សំខាន់មួយសម្រាប់ផ្សព្វផ្សាយកម្ពុជា ជាគោលដៅទេសចរណ៍ប្រកបដោយភាពទាក់ទាញ សុវត្ថិភាព និងបដិសណ្ឋារកិច្ចដ៏កក់ក្តៅ ព្រមទាំងបង្ហាញពីសក្តានុពលទេសចរណ៍ វប្បធម៌ ម្ហូបអាហារ ផលិតផលខ្មែរ និងអត្តសញ្ញាណជាតិទៅកាន់ភ្ញៀវអន្តរជាតិ។

Ministry of Tourism and ACLEDA Bank Sign MoU on e-Payment Services to Enhance Public Service Efficiency and Strengthen Cooperation in Support of Cambodia’s Tourism Sector

H.E. HUOT Hak, Minister of Tourism, presided over the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Tourism, represented by H.E. SONG Tonghap, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Tourism, and ACLEDA Bank Plc., represented by Dr. IN Channy, President & Group Managing Director, on the use of ACLEDA Bank’s services for the collection of public service fees through an electronic payment (e-Payment) system.

The MoU aims to enhance the efficiency, convenience, and modernization of the Ministry of Tourism’s public service delivery through the adoption of digital payment solutions. It also seeks to strengthen the partnership between the public and private sectors, contributing to Cambodia’s digital transformation while supporting the sustainable development of the country’s tourism industry.

This cooperation builds upon the first meeting between the Ministry of Tourism and ACLEDA Bank held on 26 March 2025, marking another important milestone in expanding the strategic partnership between the two institutions and enhancing collaboration across broader areas.

On the occasion, H.E. the Minister commended ACLEDA Bank for its significant achievements and longstanding contributions to the development of Cambodia’s financial sector and the improvement of people’s livelihoods. He also acknowledged the Bank’s continued support for the tourism sector through digital solutions, the promotion of Cambodia’s tourism potential, and its sponsorship of major tourism events, including the River Festival, the Sea Festival, and other tourism promotion activities.

H.E. the Minister emphasized: “The signing of this Memorandum of Understanding is not the conclusion of our cooperation, but rather an important new beginning. It will further strengthen and expand the partnership between the Ministry of Tourism and ACLEDA Bank by leveraging technology and the strengths of the private sector to promote a more resilient, competitive, and sustainable tourism industry in Cambodia.”

Furthermore, H.E. the Minister encouraged ACLEDA Bank to continue supporting major national and international events that Cambodia will host in the coming months, particularly the 20th Francophonie Summit and the Francophonie Village. These events will serve as an important platform to promote Cambodia as an attractive, safe, and welcoming tourism destination while showcasing the country’s tourism potential, rich cultural heritage, traditional cuisine, Khmer products, and national identity to the international community.
