Angkor Wildlife & Aquarium is set to feature a 500m3 aquarium featuring freshwater species as well as a 600m3 saltwater aquarium. There are also 10 hectares of outdoor animal exhibits and attractions set to include tigers, river otters, and crocodiles.

They're the loudest residents at AWA ,and everyone's favourite.

Asian small-clawed otters are the smallest otter species in the world, and they live life at full volume. They chatter, whistle and squeak in a vocabulary of a dozen different calls. They hold hands while they sleep so they don't drift apart. And those tiny paws? Sensitive enough to hunt by touch alone in murky water.

They're also under pressure in the wild — classified as Vulnerable, threatened by habitat loss and the illegal pet trade across Southeast Asia.

At AWA, our otters get pools to dive in, puzzles to solve, and enrichment built around the way they naturally behave. Busy, noisy, and thriving.

This weekend the internet celebrated International Cat Day. We'd like to raise the stakes. 🐯

At AWA we care for cats a fair bit larger than the one curled up on your sofa, and their story is a serious one.

Across the world, big cats are in trouble. Tigers have lost over 90% of their historic range, and wild numbers keep falling under pressure from habitat loss and the illegal wildlife trade across Asia.

The cats at AWA can't be returned to the wild. So we give them the next best thing: space, specialist care, daily enrichment, and a life where they can behave like the animals they are.

Every cat deserves that. The big ones included.
