The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is pleased to recognize the thirty-seven (37) nationals of Saint Kitts and Nevis who have been awarded scholarships to pursue higher education in the Republic of China (Taiwan).

The scholarship awards were formally presented during a ceremony held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort.

Of the 37 recipients, twenty-eight (28) were awarded the 2026 Ministry of Foreign Affairs Scholarships, while nine (9) received scholarships under Taiwan’s International Cooperation and Development Fund (ICDF) programme.

The ceremony brought together senior government officials, scholarship recipients, families, and representatives of the Republic of China (Taiwan), further underscoring the longstanding friendship and close partnership between Saint Kitts and Nevis and Taiwan.

The occasion was witnessed by Prime Minister the Honourable Dr. Terrance Drew; Deputy Prime Minister the Honourable Dr. Geoffrey Hanley; Minister of Foreign Affairs the Right Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas; Premier of Nevis the Honourable Mark Brantley; and Taiwan’s Ambassador to Saint Kitts and Nevis, His Excellency Edward Ling-Wen Tao.

The Ministry congratulates all scholarship recipients and extends best wishes as they embark on this important academic journey.
