🟢 UPDATE | IN CUSTODY — ELVIN MILLS 🟢

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force advises the public that Elvin Mills, who was identified as a Person of Interest in an ongoing criminal investigation, is now in police custody. Mr Mills presented himself at the Basseterre Police Station in the early morning hours of Saturday, August 22nd, 2026.

The RSCNPF thanks the public for their swift response to the bulletin and for their continued cooperation and support. Each one truly reached one. 🫡🇰🇳

🚨 RIFLE RANGE IN USE | BAKER'S POINT, CONAREE 🚨

The general public is advised that fi****ms training will be in progress at the Rifle Range, Baker's Point, Conaree, on the following days:

📆 Monday, August 24th to Tuesday, August 25th, 2026
🕕 Between 6 AM and 5 PM

Residents of Keys and Conaree Villages, and livestock owners in the vicinity, are kindly asked to refrain from grazing animals in the area during this period.

Members of the public are asked to avoid loitering on the beach in this area for the duration of the exercise, in the interest of public safety.

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force advises the public that Church Street, in the area below the junction of Princess Street, will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic on:

The closure is to facilitate ongoing work on the new Government Printery Building.

💫👮🏿‍♂️ RSCNPF TAKES IT TO THE STREETS | NEW CASTLE COMMUNITY WALK-THROUGH 👮🏿💫

On Wednesday, August 12th, 2026, the RSCNPF brought its community policing spirit straight to the heart of New Castle, Nevis, and the community met them with open arms. 🤝🏿🇰🇳

Commissioner of Police Mr James Sutton, accompanied by High Command and officers of the rank and file, walked through Shaw's Road and Rawlins Pasture in an evening initiative that was as warmly received as it was needed. Residents turned out and engaged freely, expressing genuine appreciation for the police presence in their community and making clear that they want to see these walk-throughs become a regular feature of policing in New Castle. The officers were equally grateful for the candid conversations, the feedback, and yes, even the sharp remarks. That's what real community engagement looks like. 👌🏿

When residents speak, the RSCNPF listens. And when the RSCNPF shows up, communities respond. That honest, direct, human exchange is exactly what builds the kind of trust that makes communities safer for everyone.
