Congratulations to our Parliamentary Representative and Minister of Tourism, the Honourable Marsha T. Henderson, whose leadership continues to help position St. Kitts as a premier Caribbean destination.

Today we join the global community in observing 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 under the theme "𝘿𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙭𝙩𝙨, 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝘼𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨."

Our young people grow up in different circumstances, but they carry the same hopes: dignity, a real voice, and the opportunity to build a fulfilling life.

Here in Central Basseterre, I remain committed to creating spaces where our youth can learn, sharpen their talents, express their ideas and grow into confident leaders. Our recent Future Leaders Summer Camp was one expression of that commitment, investing in our children today so they are ready for tomorrow.

Young people are not only the leaders of the future. They are creators, innovators and partners in shaping our communities right now. Their voices must be heard. Their potential must be nurtured. And they must have a seat at the table when decisions are made about their lives.

To every young person in Constituency #2 and across St. Kitts and Nevis: your dreams matter, your ideas matter, and your contribution matters.

Four years ago today, the people of Constituency #2 and the wider Federation placed their trust in the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party with a clear mandate: to put people first and build a stronger future for all.

It has been an honour to serve as your Parliamentary Representative over these past four years. Together, we have worked to improve lives, strengthen our communities, create opportunities and ensure that the voices of our people remain at the heart of every decision.

While we celebrate how far we have come, we also recognize that there is still important work ahead. My commitment to the people of Central Basseterre remains as strong today as it was on August 5, 2022.

Thank you to every resident, volunteer, supporter and community partner who has stood with us throughout this journey. Your trust, encouragement and partnership continue to inspire me every day.

Together, we will keep building a stronger Central Basseterre and a stronger St. Kitts and Nevis.

In a small island, preparation isn’t a luxury. It’s survival.

For Central Basseterre that means:

Water when the drought hit.

Cleaner streets and derelict vehicle removal before pollution took over.

Tax relief when gas prices rose.

Budget Boost Wallet to ease the squeeze of an international cost of living crisis.

Pensions for all G*E workers.

The SISA allows us to anticipate crisis BEFORE it strikes and have a solution ready.

This is what real leadership looks like.

Leadership is about more than checking boxes or counting completed projects.

It is about having a clear 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 for the future and the determination to turn that vision into 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

Over the past four years, the SKNLP-led Administration has not only delivered on its commitments, but has gone beyond what it set out to achieve while advancing a broader national vision through the Sustainable Island State Agenda (SISA).

Conceived and championed by Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew and vigorously pursued by his A Team Cabinet, SISA provides the long-term framework to help St. Kitts and Nevis become more resilient, sustainable, and better prepared for the challenges of a changing world.

For a small island nation, sustainability is not simply an aspiration, it is a necessity.

As the world continues to change, we must learn to walk on what is drowning the rest of the world.

Together, we continue building a stronger, more resilient St. Kitts and Nevis for this generation and those to come. 🇰🇳
