Post the conversations, the interactions, and the bonds we continue to build with our people.

Because while some are busy trying to rewrite the story, we’ll keep showing the receipts.

Here’s one:

The new Dialysis Unit is being designed with five dialysis stations, with the capacity to care for up to 20 patients.

That means more local access, greater scheduling flexibility, and more support for residents managing chronic kidney disease.

For patients and families, this is more than equipment. It means fewer long travel days, more consistent treatment, and healthcare that feels closer, safer, and more manageable.

It is with profound sadness that we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, loved ones, and friends of Mrs. Carmen Lawrence on her passing.

Mrs. Lawrence was a pillar of St. Thomas Parish and Nevis, and a distinguished educator whose remarkable life of service left an indelible mark on generations of students. Beginning her journey in education in 1957 at just sixteen years old, she devoted 38 years of dedicated service to the St. Thomas Primary School.

A consummate professional, strict disciplinarian, and compassionate woman with a profound love for children and her community, Mrs. Lawrence challenged her students to strive for excellence. Through initiatives such as “Excellent Friday” and her passion for handicraft, she encouraged creativity, discipline, and a commitment to doing one’s best. Her influence continues to live on in the countless lives she touched and the high standards she upheld.

Mrs. Lawrence was also a strong and steadfast supporter of the Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM). We will always be grateful for her support, her confidence in our movement, and her commitment to the ideals and aspirations we share for our people and our country.

In February 2021, our party had the privilege of honoring Mrs. Lawrence during our Black History Month observances, recognizing her as one of our outstanding educators. It was a fitting tribute to a woman whose contribution to education and to the development of our community will long be remembered.

We extend our deepest sympathies to her family during this difficult time. May you find comfort in the beautiful legacy she leaves behind and in the knowledge that her life of service touched so many.

Mrs. Carmen Lawrence will be deeply missed, but her memory and legacy will forever remain with us.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
