National GI & LID Research Group

The water cycle of city has so quickly deteriorated because of the consequence of rapid climate change and urbanization, which leads to huge flood and pollution disasters eventually. Regarding the mentioned above, developed countries have been studying the integrated Low Impact Development(LID) techniques including plan, design and management on the purpose of reducing natural disaster, pollution

and carbon emission. These would be the way to establish the Green
Infrastructure(GI) for coping with climatic change. Now the new concept of water management in city should be converted from centralization to
decentralization, from regulated to integrated, from government lead to industry lead, so that could contribute to the new green construction industry. The national GI & LID research group is going to the new direction of policy and description by using advanced LID & GI technique based on domestic weather and conditions. Furthermore, we are going to create green water industry and which best to make academic, public institutions and industrial cycles for establishing the base to pioneer overseas market. The interests and supports from many experts, policy makers, stakeholders and people engaged in the LID industry would be very welcomed.
