Dwight D. Eisenhower, 34th President of the United States and former soldier, was determined to bring an end to the fighting in Korea once he took office. His determination resulted in the signing of the Korean Armistice Agreement.

Eisenhower’s push for peace is a symbol of the commitment of the ROK-U.S. Alliance to ensure stability on the Korean Peninsula and uphold regional security, mutual defense, and prosperity.

The Peace Corps, an international volunteer program established
in the U.S. in 1961, began activities in Korea in 1966.

Peace Corps volunteers lived within local communities,

[MOFA] 2026 The 7th WeGo Supporters Camp Humphreys Tour Sketch Video

On July 16th, the 7th WeGo Supporters gathered
in Pyeongtaek for a tour of Camp Humphreys
and Pyeongtaek SOFA Support Center.

This tour was an opportunity for the Supporters to get a firsthand look at the role of USFK and the daily lives of its service members through personal experiences and hands-on activities.
