𝙆𝙎𝘾 𝘾𝙤𝙧𝙥𝙨 𝙈𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 𝙎𝙥𝙤𝙩𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩!

Mr. Choe began his career as a mechanic and has steadily advanced into the transportation field, currently serving as a Transportation Specialist assigned to the 7th KSC Company. Over the course of more than 20 years, he has demonstrated strong technical expertise, accountability, and professionalism, playing a key role in maintaining a 20-year accident-free record in heavy equipment transportation.

Recognizing the need for improved training, Mr. Choe personally developed and produced customized video training materials covering Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) procedures, Winch Operations, Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPC), and near-miss accident cases. These visual training resources significantly strengthened safety awareness, improved procedural understanding, and supported rapid qualification of new operators, while reinforcing safe practices for high-risk tasks.

Throughout his career, Mr. Choe has taken full ownership of transportation operations by effectively managing licenses and training records through GCSS-Army and closely supervising all phases of missions, from planning to completion. His ability to assess equipment conditions and personnel readiness has ensured accurate mission assignments and safe ex*****on under demanding operational conditions.

Mr. Choe’s consistent performance and commitment to excellence have contributed significantly to the success of the 7th KSC Company, including six AAME wins. His dedication, steady leadership, and focus on safety and improvement continue to reflect positively on the organization and set a strong example for fellow team members.

KSC Command Sergeant Major Kevin I. Gibson welcomed senior enlisted leaders to the KSC Battalion Headquarters for a KSC Capabilities Brief.

Senior enlisted leaders, including Nixon, CSM TaJuana S. Nixon, Command Sergeant Major, 403rd Army Field Support Brigade,CSM Tougbay B. Zarzar, 498th CSSB and MSG Kevin M. Davis, Senior Enlisted Advisor, Army Field Support Battalion-Korea participated in the event.

During the brief, KSC leaders highlighted the battalion’s core missions, operational capabilities, and support functions, followed by open discussion on sustainment, readiness, and future cooperation.

The visit strengthened shared understanding and reinforced professional relationships, supporting continued teamwork and mission success across the sustainment enterprise.

08 JAN 26, the KSC Battalion proudly held a Retirement Ceremony honoring seven distinguished KSC retirees who have faithfully served the KSC Battalion and the U.S. Army for many years. 🇰🇷🇺🇸

On behalf of LTC Michael Oh, KSC Battalion Commander, we were honored to welcome family members, colleagues, and friends as we gathered to recognize the dedication, professionalism, and lasting contributions of our retirees.

During the ceremony, each retiree was presented with a Civilian Service Commendation Medal or Civilian Service Achievement Medal, a Certificate of Retirement, and a Retirement Pin in recognition of their outstanding service. 🏅

The Civilian Service Commendation Medal was approved by Brig. Gen. Jin Pak, Commanding General, 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, and presented on his behalf by the Battalion Commander.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our retirees for their years of loyal service and wish them continued success and fulfillment in the next chapter of their lives. 👏🎉

𝙆𝙎𝘾 𝘾𝙤𝙧𝙥𝙨 𝙈𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 𝙎𝙥𝙤𝙩𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩!

Mr. Hwang, Tu Yong has served as a Heavy Mobile Equipment Operator in the Transportation Branch, Supply Division, AFSBn-NEA since 1984, totaling over 41 years of dedicated service. Throughout his long career, he has consistently carried out his duties with professionalism, reliability, and care.
Beyond his daily duties, Mr. Hwang has shown strong personal discipline through his long-term commitment to learning the alto saxophone. Over the past 12 years, he has maintained a regular practice routine, steadily building his skills through patience and sustained effort.
He brings his musical talents to the community, performing at senior care facilities such as the Sung-Kim Silver Center and Miso Silver Center in Chilgok-gun, where he provides comfort and joy to elderly residents. In addition, he participates in public events like the Nakdong River World Peace Festival, using music to foster community engagement and cultural enrichment.
Mr. Hwang continues to practice and improve, driven by a genuine desire to grow and contribute. His steady dedication, humility, and sense of service reflect positively on the organization and set a meaningful example for fellow corps members.

On 31 December 2025, Mr. Yi Chin U, KSC Battalion Deputy Commander, attended the graduation ceremony at Kunne Elementary School, a partner school of the 12th KSC Company’s Good Neighbor Program (GNP), along with Mr. Choe, Chun Yong, Commander of the 12th KSC Company, and Mr. Ahn, Jae Sung, KSC Battalion CRO.

During the ceremony, they congratulated the graduates on this important milestone and presented awards to outstanding students.

The visit highlighted the strong partnership between KSC and the local community and reflected KSC’s continued commitment to supporting and encouraging future generations.

On 19 DEC 2025, LTC Michael K. Oh, KSC Battalion Commander, and CSM Kevin I. Gibson, KSC Battalion Command Sergeant Major, conducted a Battlefield Circulation (BFC) to the 12th KSC Company.

During the visit, they met KSC corps members working at Tongil Bridge and visited various work sites where KSC corps members from the 12th Company HQ and SLFC are assigned.

The leadership conducted on-site engagements with KSC corps members to gain firsthand understanding of daily operations and assess unit readiness.

The BFC also included a visit to UNSCB-JSA, where they met with Republic of Korea Army (ROKA) leadership to strengthen partnership and coordination.

In addition, as part of the Good Neighbor Program (GNP) partnership, they visited an on-post elementary school and committed to supporting facility improvements to benefit the local community.

This event was designed to boost morale and encourage effective English communication.

We sincerely thank CSM Salvador G. Garcia, U.S. Army Garrison Humphreys (Camp Humphreys) Command Sergeant Major, for serving as a judge and for his valuable support.
