2nd Platoon “Outlaws” conducted a M240 / M249L range at Story Live Fire Complex from 05 - 07 August 2025.

52x Soldiers throughout the Lion Battalion and the 5-17 Air Calvary Squadron were able to qualify and validate their critical weapons marksmanship skills.

3rd Platoon conducted operation “Misfit Thunder” from 30 - 31 July 2025 at Camp Casey, South Korea. Day one tested the Platoon’s ability to successfully alert, muster, and deploy within a three-hour window. After deployment to Camp Casey the Platoon did link-up procedures with 6-37 FAR and conducted a two mile road march to the objective followed by Sensitive Site Assessment operations.

Day two consisted of a classroom portion with 6-37 FAR going over operational decontamination TTPs. The training event culminated with live iterations of operational decontamination by both units.

3rd PLT “Misfits” conducted training with 4-2 Attack Battalion from 02 - 04 June 2025 at Camp Humphreys, Republic of Korea.

The training began with a classroom capabilities brief from Misfits on how they conduct CBRN operations. 3rd PLT and 4-2 Attack Battalion then shared and synchronized TTPs on operational decontamination procedures.

A practical exercise culminated the event, consisting of Misfits demonstrating personnel and vehicle operational decontamination and 4-2 Attack Battalion conducting their own iterations of operational decontamination.
