🔥 A Look Back at 「Seoul Global Career Survival」!

On August 22–23, SeoulGlobalCenter hosted 「Seoul Global Career Survival」, a hands-on career program designed to help international talent prepare for employment in Korea! 😊

👥 DAY 1
Participants joined career mentoring sessions with industry professionals from Overseas Sales, Marketing, and R&D, followed by self-introduction pitching, resume & portfolio feedback, and hands-on projects.

🎤 DAY 2
Through a career quiz show, participants explored different roles, companies, and workplace culture before putting their skills to the test in mock interviews with five professional judges—just like a real hiring process!

🏆 The program wrapped up with an awards ceremony, where 8 participants received awards across 7 categories. Alexander Hwang took home the Global Career Grand Prize! 👏

From the first nervous moments to cheering each other on, participants spent two action-packed days learning, challenging themselves, and growing together. 💙

And the support doesn’t stop here!
For the next month, SeoulGlobalCenter will continue to support participants with post-program job matching opportunities.

8월 22~23일, 서울글로벌센터에서 외국인 인재들의 실전 취업 도전 프로그램 「서울 글로벌 커리어 서바이벌」이 진행되었습니다! 😊

👥 DAY 1
해외영업·마케팅·연구개발 직군별 현직 전문가 멘토링부터
자기소개 피칭, 이력서·포트폴리오 피드백, 실무 프로젝트까지!
취업에 필요한 역량을 점검하고 실전처럼 경험해보았습니다.

🎤 DAY 2
직무 퀴즈쇼로 기업과 직무에 대한 이해를 높이고,
5명의 전문 심사위원과 함께하는 실전 모의면접을 통해
실제 채용 현장과 같은 긴장감 속에서 역량을 펼쳤습니다.

🏆 마지막 시상식에서는 총 7개 부문, 8명의 참가자가 수상의 영예를 안았으며, 글로벌 커리어 대상은 황 알락산드르님이 수상했습니다! 👏

처음에는 긴장했던 참가자들도 함께 미션을 수행하고 서로를 응원하며 어느새 한층 가까워진 모습!
멘토링부터 면접까지, 쉼 없이 달려온 2일간의 도전​이었습니다. 💙

프로그램은 끝났지만 취업 지원은 계속됩니다!

🚀 OASIS-5: Thinking Together, Growing Together

We’re excited to share a glimpse into the OASIS-5(Startup Coaching & Mentoring) Program, filled with passion and meaningful conversations! 🔥

Foreign entrepreneurs and aspiring founders from diverse backgrounds took their next step toward building and growing their businesses in Korea.

Through the OASIS-5 program, participants received tailored mentoring to help turn their ideas into stronger and more practical businesses, including:

➰ Refining business models and business plans
➰ Reviewing IR materials and developing fundraising strategies
➰ Analyzing markets, customers, and competitors and validating business potential
➰ Providing guidance on government startup support programs and business plan preparation
➰ Sharing insights from experienced foreign founders and discussing challenges as startups

Participants shared their positive experiences, saying, “It was very helpful to receive clear feedback on my business and business plan,” and “The highly experienced mentors and supportive staff gave me a lot of inspiration and encouragement”

The program was also made more meaningful by the participation of Ravi Shankar Pandit, CEO of Konnect and an OASIS-7 graduate, who joined as both a mentor and an foreign entrepreneur, sharing his firsthand experience of building a business in Korea.

Despite the long mentoring sessions, the participants’ genuine passion and strong determination to grow their startups in Korea were truly inspiring.

진정성과 열기로 가득했던 OASIS-5 (1:1 창업코칭 및 멘토링) 현장을 전해드립니다! 🔥

한국에서 창업을 준비하는 다양한 국적의 외국인 창업가 및 예비 창업가분들이 성장을 향한 다음 발걸음을 내디뎠습니다.

이번 프로그램에서는 참가팀들이 준비 중인 사업을 실질적으로 발전시킬 수 있도록 맞춤형 멘토링을 진행했습니다.

비즈니스 모델 및 사업계획서 고도화, IR 자료 검토 및 투자유치 전략 수립, 시장·고객·경쟁사 분석 및 사업성 검증, 정부지원사업 연계 및 사업계획서 작성 지원, 선배 창업가의 노하우 공유 및 창업 애로사항 상담 등

참가자분들은 "준비 중인 사업과 사업계획서에 대한 명확한 피드백을 얻을 수 있어 매우 유익했다", "전문성 높은 멘토진과 친절한 스태프 덕분에 큰 용기와 영감을 얻었다"며 깊은 만족감을 전해주셨습니다.

또한 이번 멘토링에는 OASIS-7 졸업기업인 'Konnect'의 라비 샨카르 판딧 대표님께서 선배창업가이자 멘토로 직접 참여해 주셔서 더욱 뜻깊은 자리가 되었습니다.

긴 시간 동안 진행된 멘토링이었음에도 불구하고, 일정이 끝난 뒤 스태프들과 소감을 나누는 모습 속에서 한국 창업 시장을 향한 참가자분들의 뜨거운 도전 의지와 진정성을 깊이 느낄 수 있었습니다.

Вы изучаете корейский язык по визе D-4
и хотите подрабатывать в Корее? 🤔

Как правило, учащиеся языковых курсов могут подать заявление
на разрешение на подработку через шесть месяцев
после въезда или изменения статуса пребывания.
Но по истечении шести месяцев нельзя начинать работать автоматически.
Сначала проверьте требования к уровню корейского языка,
подтверждение учебного заведения и разрешение иммиграционной службы.

После получения разрешения пригодятся корейские выражения
для отклика на вакансию, собеседования, обсуждения графика,
рабочих инструкций, оплаты и договора,
а также опоздания или отсутствия. 💡
