제임스 T. 레이니 전 주한미국대사의 별세에 깊은 애도를 전합니다. 1993년부터 1997년까지 주한미국대사로 재임한 레이니 대사는 평생 한국의 친구이자 한반도 평화를 위해 헌신한 분이었습니다. 그의 유산은 굳건한 한미 관계 속에 오래도록 남을 것입니다.

We mourn the passing of Ambassador James T. Laney, who served as U.S. Ambassador to the ROK from 1993–1997. A lifelong friend of Korea and steadfast advocate for peace on the Korean Peninsula, his legacy will endure in the U.S.-ROK relationship.

‘우주’가 한미 협력의 미래 무대로 떠오르고 있습니다. 🌕

2025년 한미 기술번영협정(Technology Prosperity Deal)은 우주 탐사를 첨단기술 협력의 핵심 분야로 제시했습니다. 그리고 그 비전은 이미 현실이 되고 있습니다.

올해 4월, 한국의 K-RadCube가 아르테미스 II에 탑재돼 우주로 향했습니다. 이어 7월 말 열린 NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration - KASA 아르테미스 워크숍에서는 양국 전문가들이 달 항법, 착륙선, 이동체, 전력, 샘플, 과학 분야의 협력 가능성을 논의했습니다.

🇺🇸🇰🇷동맹의 다음 좌표는 우주가 될지도 모릅니다! 🚀

“Space” is becoming part of the future of U.S.-ROK cooperation. 🌕

The 2025 U.S.-ROK Technology Prosperity Deal identified space exploration as a key area of advanced-technology cooperation. That vision is already taking shape.

In April 2026, Korea’s K-RadCube traveled aboard Artemis II. From July 29–31, experts at the KASA-NASA Artemis Workshop explored cooperation in lunar navigation, landers, mobility, power, samples, and science.

The next coordinates of the 🇺🇸🇰🇷 Alliance may lie in space! 🚀
