Interesserer du dig for diplomati, og er du nysgerrig på, hvordan en dansk ambassade arbejder indefra? Så har du nu muligheden for at blive praktikant på Danmarks ambassade i Seoul!

한국 속 덴마크: 편두통 전문가 간담회

지난 11일(화), 주한덴마크대사관저에서는 대사관 주최로 한-덴 편두통 전문가 간담회가 개최되었습니다.

이번 간담회는 미카엘 헴니티 빈터 대사와 대한두통학회 추민경 회장 및 양국 전문가들 참석 하에 진행되었습니다. 행사는 양국의 편두통 진료 모델을 소개하고 편두통 치료가 나아가야 할 방향에 대한 의견 교환을 중심으로 구성되었습니다.

덴마크 두통질환지식센터에 대한 소개도 진행되었으며, 편두통 치료 방식에 대한 양국 견해 공유 및 다양한 이해관계자 간의 협력을 기반으로 한 환자 중심의 편두통 진료 체계에 대해서도 논의 또한 이루어졌습니다.

이번 만남은 편두통 진료의 발전을 위해 양국 협력을 더욱 강화하고, 지속가능한 보건의료 네트워크를 구축하는 뜻깊은 기회였습니다.

Denmark in Korea: Roundtable on Migraine Care

On 11 August, the Embassy of Denmark in Korea hosted the Korea-Denmark Roundtable on Migraine Care at the Danish Ambassador's Residence.

The event was attended by Danish Ambassador Mikael Hemniti Winther and Korean Headache Society President Chu Min Kyung as well as a panel of experts from Denmark and Korea. During the roundtable, experts introduced migraine care models and exchanged perspectives on the future direction of migraine treatment in their respective nations

A focus was given to introducing the Danish Knowledge Center on Headache Disorders as well as sharing insights into the current approach to migraine treatment. The discussion also explored a patient-centred migraine care system built on collaboration among multiple stakeholders. The meeting served as an opportunity to further strengthen our partnership in advancing migraine care and fostering a sustainable healthcare network.

한국 속 덴마크: 서울시립과학관 에너지 전환과 기후대응 강연

지난 8일(토), 주한덴마크대사관은 서울시립과학관에서 '더 나은 미래를 위한 에너지 전환: 에너지 전환과 기후대응 강연'을 진행했습니다. 이번 행사는 과학관과 대사관이 협력한 특별전 과 연계한 두 번째 행사로, 기후 위기 시대에 에너지 전환의 의미를 살펴보고 해상풍력이 지속가능한 미래를 위해 어떤 역할을 할 수 있는지 이야기해 보는 자리였습니다.

행사는 미카엘 헴니티 빈터 대사와 유만선 관장의 참석 하에 진행됐습니다. 강연은 각각 대사관의 예스퍼 크누센 에너지 참사관(덴마크의 에너지 전환 여정), 에너지전환포럼의 현유정 연구원 (모두를 위한 해상풍력 발전), 오스테드 코리아의 리케 엘리세 랑틴-크누슨 Environmental Manager (해상풍력과 생물다양성)이 진행해 해상풍력의 사회경제적 영향과 이점을 다각도로 살펴보는 시간을 가졌습니다. 이후 질의응답이 진행되어 사전 및 현장 수집된 질문들에 연사들이 답하는 시간을 가졌습니다.

행사 협력에 서울시립과학관과 에너지전환포럼, 오스테드 (Ørsted) 코리아에 감사드립니다.

이번 강연이 재생에너지와 지속가능한 미래에 대해 한 걸음 더 가까이 다가가는 계기가 됐기를 기대합니다.

Denmark in Korea: Lecture on Energy Transition and Climate Action at the Seoul Science Center

On 8 August, the Embassy hosted a lecture titled ‘Energy Transition for a Better Tomorrow: Energy Transition and Climate Action’ at the Seoul Science Center. The event was organised as the second side event to the Seoul Science Center's 'EARTH'S PULSE' special exhibition, where the Embassy is an official partner. The event provided an opportunity to examine the significance of the energy transition in the era of the climate crisis and to discuss the role that offshore wind power can play in achieving a sustainable future.

The event was attended by Danish Ambassador Mikael Hemniti Winther and Director Yoo Mansun of the Seoul Science Center. Taking the stage with lectures were the embassy's Energy Counsellor, Jesper Knudsen (Denmark’s Energy Transition Journey); Energy Transition Forum's researcher, Hyun Yu-jeong (Why Offshore Wind is for Everyone); and Ørsted Korea's Environmental Manager, Rikke Elise Langtin-Knudsen (Offshore Wind and Biodiversity); looking at the socio-economic impact and benefits of offshore wind generation from various perspectives. A Q&A followed where the presenters answered questions gathered prior to the event and on-site.

We thank the Seoul Science Center, the Energy Transition Forum, and Ørsted Korea for their collaboration on this event.

We hope this event served as an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of renewable energy and a more sustainable future.

안녕하세요, 저는 주한덴마크대사관에 새로 부임한 식품 & 농경 공사참사관 캐챠라고 합니다. 앞으로 덴마크와 한국의 정부 기관, 기업 및 산업 단체 간 협력을 강화해 무역 확대, 지식 교류 및 양자 협력을 증진하는 데 주력할 예정입니다.

그간 베이징, 하노이, 도쿄, 캔버라에 있는 덴마크대사관에서 일하며 커리어의 상당 부분을 아시아 태평양 지역에서 일궜습니다. 아시아와 아시아 식문화에 깊은 관심을 가지고 있기에 주한덴마크대사관에 합류하게 되어 기쁩니다. 한국 식문화에 대해 알아가며 덴-한 협력 및 식품 교류 증진 방안을 모색하기를 기대하고 있습니다.

🇩🇰 MEET A DANE: KATJA GOODHEW

Hi, I am Katja, the new Minister Counsellor for Food, Agriculture & Fisheries at the Embassy of Denmark in Korea. In this position, my focus will be on fostering cooperation between Korean and Danish authorities, businesses, and business organisations to expand trade, knowledge exchange, and bilateral cooperation.

Having worked at the Danish Embassies in Beijing, Hanoi, Tokyo and Canberra, I have spent a significant part of my working life in the Asia-Pacific region. And as I have a keen interest in Asia and Asian food culture, I am very excited to now join the Embassy here in Seoul, and for this opportunity to start exploring the many aspects of Korean food culture, and to explore how we may foster cooperation and food exchanges between Korea and Denmark.

Professionally, I have a dual background in agriculture and natural resource management, and from this, an interest in how we develop sustainable and resilient food systems, and in how we may draw on traditional food production methods to develop new and nutritious food products. So please do not hesitate to reach out to me to discuss more.

The Embassy of Denmark in Korea will be closed on 17 August due to public holiday. During this time all calls to the Embassy will be transferred to the 24/7 call centre in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.

Denmark in Korea: Meet the new interns and student assistants

They shared their goals for the next 6 months as below:

🇩🇰 Emma (Politics, Public Diplomacy, Culture)
It is her first time in Korea, and she is especially looking forward to getting (at minimum) a 7-step K-beauty skincare routine.

🇰🇷 Seungjin (Trade Council)
She hopes to gain practical experience in the trade between Korea and Denmark, working with Danish companies, while also learning more about the Danish language and culture.

🇩🇰 Annika (Innovation Centre)
She is looking forward to discovering hidden cafés, trying every convenience store snack, and diving deep into the world of innovation.

They will be aiding the Embassy's work over the next six months, bringing a fresh energy to a wide range of sectors. Please leave a comment welcoming them to the Embassy!

지난 6개월간 주한덴마크대사관과 함께한 덴마크 인턴들과 작별 인사를 나누고자 합니다.

에밀리, 토마스, 프레데릭은 다음과 같이 전했습니다:

"벌써 6개월이 지났네요. 한국에서 보낸 멋진 경험에 대해 말로 다할 수 없을 만큼 감사드립니다.
업무적으로 소중한 경험을 쌓았을 뿐만 아니라, 문화 교류를 경험하고, 새로운 친구들을 사귀며 평생 간직할 추억을 만들었습니다.
서울과 한국 곳곳을 탐방하고, 새로운 음식을 맛보며, 새로운 관습과 언어를 접했습니다.
이 경험들은 한국을 떠난 후에도 오랫동안 저희 마음속에 남아 있을 것입니다.

해피 올라소카! 오늘은 페로 제도의 국경일(올라소카)입니다.

덴마크 왕국의 자치령인 페로 제도는 북대서양에 위치하며, 18개의 아름다운 섬으로 구성되어 있습니다.

페로어(Faroese)에는 안개를 뜻하는 단어가 70개 이상 있다는 사실을 알고 계셨나요? 페로 제도에서는 특히 7월 말과 8월 초에 안개가 많이 낍니다.

페로 제도의 국경일을 축하하며, 따스한 햇살이 비추는 하루가 되기를 바랍니다.

Happy Ólavsøka! Today is the National Day of the Faroe Islands.

The Faroe Islands consists of 18 beautiful green islands in the North East Atlantic and is a self-governing country within The Kingdom of Denmark.

Did you know that the Faroese language has more than 70 different words for fog? Foggy weather is quite common in the Faroe Islands, especially late July and early August.

We wish the Faroe Islands a happy celebration and hope it's a sunny day today.
