Located in the middle of Yangpyeong, the Angela Garden includes a wonderful nature trail that runs along the Namhangang Riverside that is very popular among people who enjoy a stroll amid the fresh river breeze and the refreshing scent of flowers. The Angela Garden consists of herb, wildflower and tropical gardens as well as the Natural Ecology Museum. It is also equipped with convenient facilities including the Four Seasons Sledding Slope and a picnic site which are ideal for family outings.

(두메향기) located in Yangpyeong, is a novel space where 20 species of the representative sannamul of Korea as well as wild flowers grow in the woods.
Here you can observe and collect various kinds of sannamul according to the season. Also in the forest full of sannamul are walking paths made of all kinds of trees such as pines, birches, oak, and maple trees.
These trails are named “Path of Slowness,” “Path of Meditation,” and “Path of Healing”; as you walk along them, you can feel the spirit of nature.

Using a long abandoned railway, the Yangpyeong Rail Bike offers a unique bike ride at speeds of 15km/h from Yongmun to Wondeok.
This 3.2km journey passes along a gleaming river and tree covered mountains.
The bike ride delivers picturesque scenery all year round: blooming flowers in the spring with the light green buds blossoming on the trees, the flush greens of summer time, vivid autumnal tones coloring the ridge of Yongmunsan Mountain, and the clean white snowflakes resting delicately on the limbs of trees.

Yongmunsa Temple was built during the Silla Kingdom and reconstructed during the reign of King Sejong of the Joseon Dynasty. It was badly damaged during the Korean War, but was restored and now consists of three buildings, the main hall, daeungjeon, and the bell tower. Its courtyard contains the largest gingko tree in the East, which is 1,100 years old, measures 60m in height and 14m in circumference and is designated and protected as natural monument no. 30. Legend says the great Buddhist monk Uisang, who lived during the Silla Kingdom, stuck his staff in the earth, and the tree grew out of the simple staff.

Spring is a wonderful season for outdoor exercise and sightseeing. Today,we’re going to introduce a bicycle lanes near seoul—Yangpyeong bicycle lanes.
On weekends, numerous people in the city head out the doors with their bicycles in a search for comfort and relaxation after being under the constant stress of urban life during the weekdays. Watching cyclers pedalling forward with vigorous energy is bound to drive up a desperate desire within you to jump out of your car and join them for a bike ride.
Here's a great piece of news for all those who love riding bicycles! The old railway between Yangpyeong and Namyangju, where public access has long been prohibited, was reinvented as a premium bike trail and was opened in October 2011.
It’s also a hot place famous for the drama “Doctors” film making spot. Let’s check it out!

No.2 hot place of Yangpyeong on Tripadvisor——Semiwon Garden, a treasure trove of water plants.
Semiwon is a water and flower garden that has the World Lotus Center where beautiful lotuses bloom all year around. The center was built on an area of 1320 square meter and some 50 kinds of lotuses and 60 kinds of water plants are growing within the center.

Dumulmeori, where the Bukhangang and Namhangang Rivers merge, is one the three major tourist attractions of Yangpyeong-gun along with a comprehensive arts space Yangpyeong Batanggol Arts Center and Korea's Natural Monument No. 30 the Ginkgo Tree of Yongmunsa Temple. A 400-year old Zelkova tree and the early morning's wet fog adds to the picturesque beauty of surrounding nature.
