H.E. Ambassador Nkubito delivered a lecture at Yonsei University today as part of its “African Real Politics and Diplomacy” programme. Titled “Accelerated EAC Growth: The Case of Rwanda,” the lecture explored how Rwanda is building a platform for trade, investment, education, healthcare and innovation across East Africa and the wider continent.

In the discussion with students, the Ambassador also considered how artificial intelligence may shape governance, development and diplomacy.

The Embassy welcomes opportunities to engage students on contemporary Africa and to strengthen academic ties between Rwanda and the Republic of Korea.

주한 르완다 대사관의 은쿠비토(Nkubito) 대사는 오늘 연세대학교의 「African Real Politics and Diplomacy」 프로그램의 일환으로 강연을 진행했습니다. 「Accelerated EAC Growth: The Case of Rwanda」를 주제로 한 이번 강연에서는 르완다가 동아프리카와 아프리카 대륙 전반에서 무역, 투자, 교육, 보건의료 및 혁신을 위한 플랫폼을 어떻게 구축해 나가고 있는지 살펴보았습니다.

학생들과의 토론에서는 인공지능(AI)이 향후 거버넌스, 개발 및 외교에 어떠한 영향을 미칠 수 있는지에 대해서도 의견을 나누었습니다.

대사관은 학생들과 현대 아프리카에 대해 소통할 수 있는 기회를 뜻깊게 생각하며, 르완다와 대한민국 간 학술 교류를 더욱 강화해 나가기를 기대합니다.

The Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda in the Republic of Korea, visited the Gumi Plant today, where they toured the manufacturing facilities and warehouse operations.

The visit provided an opportunity to gain first hand insights into the company’s manufacturing processes, production capabilities, and operational systems, while exchanging views on potential areas of engagement.

The Embassy appreciates the warm welcome extended by Prism Korea, ViewPlus, Global Electronics, and DS Technology, and looks forward to continued engagement.

주한 르완다 대사관은 오늘 구미 공장을 방문하여 제조 시설과 창고 운영 현장을 둘러보았습니다.

Ambassador Bakuramutsa Nkubito had the honor of representing Rwanda at the 10th National Democratic Citizens’ Choir Festival, held in Jeju an island of peace and human rights that carries the painful legacy of the April 3 Incident.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, this meaningful festival brings together civic choirs from across the Republic of Korea in solidarity and is hosted in a different city each year.

This year’s gathering held particular significance, demonstrating how painful memories and tragedy can be overcome and transformed into messages of peace through song and harmony.

Just as diverse voices come together to create one beautiful harmony, it was deeply moving to witness the solidarity among citizens and their shared aspiration for peace. Our sincere appreciation goes to all the participating choirs for conveying such powerful messages of peace through music.

오늘 은쿠비토 주한르완다대사는 4·3의 아픈 역사를 간직한 평화와 인권의 섬 제주에서 열린 ‘제10회 전국민주시민합창축전’에 르완다를 대표하여 참석하는 영광을 가졌습니다.

올해로 10주년을 맞은 이 뜻깊은 축제는 대한민국 각지의 시민합창단들이 연대하여 함께하며, 매년 다른 도시를 순회하며 개최되고 있습니다.

특히 올해 행사는 아픈 기억과 비극을 노래와 화합을 통해 극복하고 평화의 메시지로 승화시킬 수 있음을 보여주었다는 점에서 더욱 깊은 의미를 지녔습니다.

The Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda in the Republic of Korea was pleased to welcome Dr. Woo-seung Kim, Chairperson of the Samsung Dream Scholarship Foundation Samsung Global Hope Scholars Council , and representatives of the Foundation.

Discussions focused on a potential partnership to advance innovation and STEAM education in Rwandan schools, with particular emphasis on artificial intelligence, robotics and emerging technologies.

The Embassy looks forward to advancing this promising initiative and supporting the development of Rwanda’s next generation of innovators.

The Ambassador of Rwanda Bakuramutsa Nkubito represented the Republic of Rwanda in a dialogue organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea with Judge Jin-Hyun Paik, the Republic of Korea’s candidate for election to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for the 2027–2036 term.

The dialogue, attended by members of the diplomatic corps in Seoul, provided an opportunity to hear Judge Paik’s perspectives on international law, the peaceful settlement of disputes, and the role of the ICJ in the international legal order.

Rwanda remains committed to multilateral engagement and to the principles of international law and peaceful settlement of disputes.

은쿠비토(Nkubito Bakuramutsa Manzi) 주한 르완다 대사는 대한민국 외교부가 주최한 간담회에 르완다 공화국을 대표하여 참석했습니다. 이번 간담회는 2027~2036년 임기의 국제사법재판소(ICJ) 재판관 선거에 출마한 대한민국 후보 백진현 판사와 함께 진행되었습니다.

서울 주재 외교단이 참석한 이번 간담회는 국제법, 분쟁의 평화적 해결, 그리고 국제법 질서에서 국제사법재판소가 수행하는 역할에 대한 백진현 판사의 견해를 청취하는 뜻깊은 기회가 되었습니다.

During its visit to Cambodia, the Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda had the honor of meeting Pol. Lt. Gen. LONG Habana, Deputy Director General of the General Department of Immigration.

The meeting offered a valuable opportunity to exchange views on immigration and mobility, and to explore ways of further strengthening cooperation between Rwanda and Cambodia.

The Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda was honored to meet with H.E. EAT Sophea, Permanent Secretary of State and Head of the Secretariat of the National Committee for the Organization of the 20th Francophonie Summit, during its visit to Cambodia.

The engagement provided an opportunity to exchange views on the upcoming 20th Francophonie Summit and its importance in fostering dialogue, solidarity and cooperation among members of the Francophonie community.

The Embassy commends Cambodia’s preparations for this important gathering and reaffirms Rwanda’s commitment to the shared values and aspirations of La Francophonie.

The Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda was honored to meet with H.E. KONG Vibol, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister and Delegate of the Royal Government of Cambodia in charge as Director General of the General Department of Taxation, during our visit to Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

The cordial and constructive exchange provided an opportunity to discuss areas of mutual interest and avenues for further strengthening cooperation between Rwanda and Cambodia.
