Recently, during the official launch of the book The History of Relations between the Holy See and the State of Kuwait, authored by Nasser Mohammed Al-Hajeri, which took place at the Apostolic Nunciature in Kuwait. It was also an occasion to bid farewell to the outgoing Apostolic Nuncio, H.E. Eugene Martin Nugent, who will be terminating his diplomatic mission in Kuwait and initiating a new one in the Czech Republic.

On 11 August, I attended a thanksgiving Mass at the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Arabia in Ahmadi, which was celebrated by the Apostolic Nuncio to the State of Kuwait, H.E. Archbishop Eugene Martin Nugent, who will conclude his diplomatic mission in Kuwait in the coming days.

Travellers should be aware that escalation in regional tensions may lead to flight cancellations, delays, or diversions. Today, as Ambassador of Malta, I signed the Book of Condolences at the Embassy of the State of Qatar on the occasion of the recent demise of the Amir's father, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalif al Thani. I had the opportunity to discuss the longstanding friendship between Malta and Qatar with the Ambassador of Qatar in Kuwait.

On Thursday, 9 July, as Ambassador of Malta, I signed the Book of Condolences at the Embassy of Venezuela in connection with the recent earthquake that struck the country. I also had the opportunity to meet the Ambassador of Venezuela and explained to him Malta's humanitarian role in this tragedy.

Recently, I attended a reception hosted by the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Kuwait, H.E. Juraj Chmiel, to bid farewell to the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Hans-Christian Freiherr von Reibnitz, who today formally concludes his long diplomatic career, which harks back to 1989.

Today, in a more relaxed setting, I bid farewell to the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, H.E. Hans-Christian Freiherr von Reibnitz, who will conclude his diplomatic career at the end of June. I sincerely wish him the best in his retirement.

Today, I paid a visit to the Mullenlowe Blu Kuwait, in Kuwait City, a private company with extensive experience in building effective communication channels including media, direct marketing, PR and public/private events. I had the honour to meet the company’s Founder and Managing Partner, Ms. Rabaa F***j. Together with Ms. F***j and Ms. Maryam Hosseinnia, we discussed various ways how Malta and Kuwait can further collaborate between each other in the artistic and cultural sector, including the promotion of traditional crafts.
