East End Rest Area, Little Cayman

East End Rest Area, Little Cayman A unique rest stop on the isolated East End of Little Cayman that operates on an honor system. Tra

The idea for the East End Rest Area first started to germinate in 2009 when tourists knocked on the door of the home of Bruce and Brenda Miller who live on the isolated East End of Little Cayman. These tourists had been in a desperate search for a drink of water because they had been bicycling from Blossom Village (almost 10 miles away) and had not known that there would be no places to stop for r

efreshments along the way. After a few more similar knocks on their door, the Millers decided to place an ice chest full of cold drinks and snacks at the end of their driveway and invite passersby to help themselves on an honor basis. It is comforting to discover that there is still a place left in the world where the honor system still works. A few years have passed since that first knock on the door and a simple ice chest has evolved into a traveller's resting place with a sense of humor.
