How will my compensation be assessed?
When completing Form B, you'll be asked to choose between a one-stage and two-stage assessment.
With a one-stage assessment, compensation is assessed on the assumption that the road will be built as proposed. Once the compensation is agreed or awarded, it is a full and final settlement of the claim.
With a two-stage assessment, an initial assessment is made based on the proposed road. Once the road has been completed, the claim is reviewed based on the road as actually built and a final assessment is made.
Your choice is irrevocable, so it is important to understand both options before making your selection. If no option is selected, you are deemed to have chosen the two-stage assessment.
