The chance of showers has decreased as instability moves to the west, however, an upper-level trough lingers and could result in isolated thunder. Partly cloudy skies are expected through Monday as a ridge of high-pressure dominates across the northwestern Caribbean. Seas will be generally moderate with slight conditions to the north of the area and winds will be gentle. Similar weather conditions through Tuesday with the possible increase in windspeeds and cloud cover from Wednesday as instability moves across the area.

The chance of showers remains as a tropical wave continues to drift south of the Cayman area. The wave will influence the weather pattern across the northwest Caribbean up to late Sunday, before a ridge of high-pressure builds. An upper-level trough could provide support for a few isolated thunder. Radar imagery shows convective cloud mass to the east of the area.

Cloudy conditions with a few showers are likely to persist through today as a tropical wave begins to drift across the western Caribbean this morning. From later this afternoon, an upper-level trough will swing in across the northwest Caribbean which combined with daytime heating and available moisture is likely to ignite some scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms into the early evening hours. A slow and gradual decrease in both cloud cover and shower chances will begin on Sunday as a ridge of high-pressure begins to rebuild across the northeast Caribbean.
