Welcome to visit Nam Dee Waterfall in Lanten Village. This beautiful place is 5.5 km from the town center. After a long period of maintenance due to flood damage, the area reopened to visitors on 28 January 2026.

Nalan Village is a destination for homestays and for learning about ethnic cultures through trekking and kayaking in the Nam Ha National Biodiversity Conservation Area. To visit Nalan Homestay, visitors must book a trekking or kayaking program through local travel agencies in town. Independent entry into the Nam Ha NPA is not permitted.

The village received the ASEAN Community-Based Tourism Standard for 2025–2027. Nalan Village was proposed for this ASEAN tourism standard because the Nam Ha NPA remains rich in natural beauty, and the local community continues to preserve its unique culture, making it an attractive destination for many visitors each year.

Luang Namtha is well known for its ethnic diversity and different livelihoods in the town and remote area so to experience the Homestay in Luang Namtha is a good activity that tourists can get in touch nearby the local people’s livelihood by learning and exchanging cultures and knowledge directly. To promote the Luang Namtha homestay, the travelers just join learning and participating with local people is a part of the contribution to the local community.

Luang Namtha province recorded strong tourism growth this year, welcoming nearly 1.3 million visitors and generating more than US$40 million in tourism-related income, underscoring the province’s rising profile as a key eco-tourism and cultural destination in northern Laos.
According to the Deputy Head of the provincial Culture and Tourism Department, Mr Somsavath Namintha, nearly 1.3 million tourists visited or passed through the province in 2025, representing an increase of 2.86 percent compared to 2024.
Of this number, 970,760 tourists entered at international border crossings, while 136,410 travelled via the Laos–China railway. (Read more below⬇️⬇️)

Welcome to all domestic and international visitors to the Phra That Luang Chiang Tung Worship Festival, a National Heritage Site, for the year B.E. 2568 (A.D. 2025).
The event will be held on 5 November 2025 at Tin That Village, Sing District (Muang Sing), Luang Namtha Province.

We would like to invite the public to contribute donations in support of the development and construction activities around the sacred site, which include the following five projects:

Construction of a large Buddha statue for blessing ceremonies
Construction of the dragon statue at Nong Sa pond
Construction of a three-story pavilion
Construction of a food offering hall
Renovation of the old temple
