During this era of COVID 19, all the sectors and all the industries are affected by its negative impacts, more so the smallholder farmers who face challenges in their daily life, let alone are
affected more severely by the negative impacts of Covid-19. However, AFN is striving hard to reach its goals and objectives and working against the atrocities to defeat the evil of poverty by enabling the farmers achieve sustainable livelihood by adopting and implementing AFN project activities.
During this time of lockdown, where the staff cannot travel inter province, AFN organized a quarterly project progress meeting using multimedia channels. The meeting was aimed at reviewing the progress made by 12 target districts and 4 target provinces. A total of 33 participants joined the meeting consisting of PAFO & DAFO officials and AFN team. The meeting was facilitated by AFN's National Project Director Mr. Sisovath PHANDANOUVONG.
All 12 target districts presented their progress to which a lot of suggestions and recommendations were made by AFN's management and TA's. Also, suggested was a roadmap for the second half of FY 2021 and ideas were shared by participants on picking up the pace of implementing project activities especially during lockdown period.
The meeting was concluded by Mr. Sisovath, with a message to all participants to enable higher implementation rate of project related activities and to start visiting target villages as soon as the lockdown measures are lifted.
