ໃນວັນທີ 19 ພຶດສະພາ 2026, ສະມາຄົມເຢຍລະມັນ-ລາວ ເພື່ອການພັດທະນາ (GLAD) ພາຍໃຕ້ການສະໜັບສະໜູນງົບປະມານຈາກ ມູນນິທິ Betula Asian Aid Foundation (BAAF) ໄດ້ລົງພື້ນທີ່ຈັດກິດຈະກຳມອບຕຸກນໍ້າດື່ມທີ່ສາມາດນຳກັນມາໃຊ້ໃໝ່ໄດ້ ໃຫ້ແກ່ນ້ອງໆນັກຮຽນຢູ່ ໂຮງຮຽນອະນຸບານດອນຂະຍູງ, ເມືອງຕຸ້ມລານ, ແຂວງສາລະວັນ.

ກິດຈະກໍາດັ່ງກ່າວມີແຜນການແຈກຢາຍໃຫ້ແກ່ໂຮງຮຽນອະນຸບານເປົ້າໝາຍທັງໝົດ 7 ແຫ່ງ ໃນທົ່ວເມືອງສະໝ້ວຍ ແລະ ເມືອງຕຸ້ມລານ ແຂວງສາລະວັນ, ເຊິ່ງກວມເອົາເດັກນ້ອຍອາຍຸ 3-5 ປີ ປະມານ 600 ຄົນ ໃນໄລຍະຕໍ່ໜ້ານີ້.

On May 19, 2026, the German-Lao Association for Development (GLAD), with financial support from the Betula Asian Aid Foundation (BAAF), visited the field to distribute reusable water bottles to young students at Donkhayoung Kindergarten in Toumlan District, Salavan Province.

This activity is part of the activity "Ensuring Safe Hydration for Children" which aims to promote children's access to clean and safe drinking water. It also encourages adequate daily water consumption, as children spend most of their time at school (at least 8 hours a day). Furthermore, the initiative helps reduce the risk of waterborne diseases by encouraging children to bring safe, boiled, or filtered water from home in their portable bottles to consume at school.

In the coming period, this activity plans to distribute water bottles to a total of 7 target kindergartens across the Samouay and Toumlan districts of Salavan Province, covering approximately 600 children aged 3 to 5 years.

From May 13–15, 2026, the German-Lao Association for Development, in collaboration with the Dakcheung District Education and Sports Office and local teachers, joyfully organized activities to celebrate International Children's Day 👧👦.

These activities were held under the "Community-Based Early Childhood Education Development Project," bringing joy and smiles to children across three schools: 🏫 Dakbong Kindergarten, 🏫 Xianglouang Kindergarten, and 🏫 Daktiem Kindergarten.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement and smiles, highlighted by adorable and lively cultural performances by the kindergarten students, who showcased their talents and brought joy to everyone present. The team distributed various gifts to the children, including school supplies, sports equipment, and toys, to support their development and create a bright, vibrant learning environment. At the same time, hygiene supplies such as detergent and soap were also distributed to the parents who attended the event.

Vehicle Handover Ceremony to the Salavan Provincial Department of Education and Sports

On May 4, 2026, an official ceremony was held at the Salavan Provincial Department of Education and Sports to mark the handover of one Ford Ranger pickup truck to be used for project operations.

The vehicle was officially presented by Ms. Phetsalinh Chanthaphasouk, Director of the German-Lao Association for Development (GLAD), and received by Mr. Sounee Nammaboualy, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Salavan Provincial Department of Education and Sports. The event was attended by the project management team and relevant stakeholders as witnesses.

This vehicle handover is part of a collaborative effort aimed at strengthening the capacity of the Provincial Department of Education and Sports in conducting field visits, monitoring, and evaluating project activities throughout the province. This support will ensure greater convenience and efficiency in operations, particularly in remote and hometreach areas.

On this occasion, Mr. Sounee Nammaboualy expressed his sincere gratitude and highly commended the support from the German-Lao Association for Development. He emphasized that this vehicle is a vital asset that will enable the project to achieve its targets and deliver maximum benefits to the people of Salavan Province.

From March 22–27, 2026, the German-Lao Association for Development (GLAD), in collaboration with the District Education and Sports Offices of Salavan and Ta Oi districts, Salavan Province, distributed agricultural and livestock equipment to target groups under the "Promotion of Village Entrepreneurship through Basic Vocational Training Project, Phase II”.

📦 Distribution Details:

- Ta Oi District: Handover of vaccines, poultry feed, stable construction materials, fish ponds, and vegetable seeds to target groups in Padou, Pajukapa, Lapueng, and Xuengtamong villages.
- Salavan District: Handover of poultry stable construction materials and fish ponds to target groups in Nawa and Nonsavanh villages.

From March 29–30, 2026, Mr. Michael Dirkx, Executive Director of Schmitz-Stiftungen (WPSS), conducted a field visit to monitor the progress of the “Promotion of Village Entrepreneurship through Basic Vocational Training Project, Phase II” in target areas of Salavan Province.
The visit received a warm welcome from:

Between March 17–20, 2026, a delegation of teachers from target kindergarten schools under the "Integrated Rural Early Childhood Education Promotion Project" in Salavan Province traveled for a study tour to exchange practical teaching lessons. 🎓✨

The teaching staff visited the office of the German-Lao Association for Development (GLAD) to summarize their findings and exchange new teaching techniques learned throughout the trip.

The Role:
You will be the creative lead in developing culturally appropriate materials including videos, posters, and scripts to promote positive behavior change in nutrition, hygiene, and education across rural communities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop simple, high-impact messages for rural audiences.
- Oversee media production (videos, illustrations, and role-plays).
- Coordinate with government partners and supervise project officers.
- Manage project reporting and IMC meetings.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Media, Education, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in communication for development.
- Strong scriptwriting and video production skills.
- Fluent in English and Lao.
- Willingness to travel and ability to drive in off-road/mountainous areas.
