مشروع METI #يحقّق إنجاز مهم في الأردن

اعتمد أعضاء مجموعة العمل المعني بالسياسات الثلاثي الأطراف، برئاسة المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي، خارطة طريق تنفيذ مشروع دمج التشغيل في التجارة والاستثمار (METI) في الأردن، في خطوة مهمة نحو تحويل نتائج التحليل والحوار إلى إجراءات عملية وملموسة.

وستوجّه خارطة الطريق تنفيذ المرحلة الثانية من المشروع ، مع التركيز على:

◀️ تعزيز الإنتاجية، والقدرة التنافسية في قطاع الهندسة
◀️ تنمية المهارات لتلبية متطلبات سوق العمل
◀️ تعزيز التعاون بين الحكومة، وأصحاب العمل، والعمال، وشركاء التنمية لدعم

وتعرب منظمة العمل الدولية خالص تقديرها إلى جميع أعضاء مجموعة العمل المعني بالسياسات على مساهماتهم القيّمة، وتتطلع إلى مواصلة هذا التعاون مع الشركاء الوطنيين والاتحاد الأوروبي من أجل تعزيز خلق فرص عمل شاملة ومستدامة في الأردن.

𝐀 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐈 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐢𝐧 #𝐉𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐧

Members of the tripartite Policy Working Group, chaired by the Economic and Social Council, endorsed the 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐨 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐈 𝐈𝐈) implementation roadmap for Jordan, marking an important step towards translating analysis and dialogue into concrete action.

The roadmap will guide the implementation of METI’s second phase, with a focus on:
▶Strengthening productivity and competitiveness in the engineering sector
▶Advancing skills development to align with market needs
▶Fostering closer collaboration among government, employers, workers and development partners to promote

We commend the Policy Working Group members for their valuable contributions and dedication to this process. The ILO looks forward to continuing this collaborative effort with national partners and the European Union to advance inclusive and sustainable job creation in Jordan.

🤝 Stronger employment programmes start with stronger capacities.

In collaboration with Lebanese Ministry of Social Affairs وزارة الشؤون الإجتماعية , the International Labour Organization (ILO), through the Employment-Intensive Infrastructure Programme (EIIP), funded by the German Government German Embassy Beirut through KfW Development Bank, organized a training for Ministry’s staff on the Employment-Intensive Infrastructure Programme (EIIP) and the Environmental and Social Safeguards Framework (ESSF).

Through interactive discussions and practical exercises, participants strengthened their knowledge of decent work, social safeguards, labour management, occupational safety and health, inclusive approaches for women and persons with disabilities, and effective monitoring practices.

By equipping frontline MoSA staff with the knowledge and tools to implement employment-intensive interventions, the training helps ensure that short-term employment opportunities are delivered in a way that is inclusive, safe, accountable, and responsive to the needs of vulnerable communities across Lebanon.

𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐲 𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞

👨‍🔧20 young women and men in Lebanon are taking the next step towards employment through a Work-Based Learning programme in industrial machine operation implemented in collaboration with the Lebanese Ministry of Social Affairs وزارة الشؤون الإجتماعية, under the European Union in Lebanon -funded ENABLE Programme. The programme is carried out by the International Labour Organization (ILO) in partnership with the Safadi Foundation🤝to equip young people with market-relevant skills and practical workplace experience.

🏭 After completing specialized theoretical training, participants will gain hands-on experience in real work environments through placements with private sector companies, including INDEVCO, Roky Plast, and UBSA.

🎯 The programme connects skills development with workplace experience, helping young people build confidence, strengthen their technical competencies, and improve their opportunities to enter the labour market.

Because one of the best ways to prepare for a job is to experience one.
