Municipality of Bickfaya-Mhaydseh بلدية بكفيا ـ المحيدثة الصفحة الرسميّة لبلديّة بكفيا المحيدثة، وضعت تحت تصرّ? Great Bikfaya refers to four mountain villages : Bikfaya ,Bhersaf ,Sakiet El Misk and El Mhaydsse .

In 1889, the first municipality was established in the four villages as the municipality of Bikfaya . Later , in 1892 ,the municipality of Bhersaf and Sakiet El Misk took form , followed by the municipality of El Mhaydsse in 1904. The four municipalities eventually merged to give it the name of Greater Bikfaya . Under the reign of President Bechara El Khoury the municipality was divided into two regions known as the municipality of Bhersaf and Sakiet El Misk and the municipality of Bikfaya and Mhaydsse .
