Rotaract clubs are either community or university based, and theyโre sponsored by a local Rotary club. This makes them true "partners in service" and key members of the family of Rotary. The first Rotaract Club was founded in North Carolina in 1968. To be eligible for membership, prospective members must be 18โ30 years of age, show that they are committed to Rotaract, and show that they are of goo
d standing in the community. After being approved by the club, prospective members are 'inducted' to become members, also known as 'Rotaractors'. Clubs generally charge a small annual membership fee to cover costs.
