David Octave began his distinguished career with the Canaries Constituency Council on October 12, 1996. Known for his strong work ethic and excellent performance, David was a valuable asset to our team. He also served as a shop steward for the National Workers Union, showcasing his leadership and dedication.

David's versatility extended beyond his primary duties; he often took on roles such as plumber, carpenter, and mason whenever the need arose. As a skilled field worker, he expertly handled tools like the w**d eater and power washer, contributing significantly to the cleanliness and upkeep of our community.

A respectful and motivating presence, David inspired his colleagues with stories from his extensive years of service and village traditions. He was a master of his craft and took pride in passing on his skills to his male counterparts, ensuring the continuity of quality service.

As he embark on his well-deserved retirement, On behalf of the Canaries Constituency Council and the entire team, we thank you for your time spent with us.We wish you the very best in your retirement years.
Happy Retirement!

Mildred Marcellin, an esteemed employee of the Canaries Constituency Council, joined our team on January 5, 1992. With nine years of prior experience as an environmental health worker, Mildred quickly became one of the most outstanding members of our council.

Her dedication, respectfulness, and uncomplaining nature set her apart. She approached every task with enthusiasm and initiative, often suggesting improvements to enhance our working environment. Notably, she was the only female employee who confidently handled tasks like pushing a wheelbarrow, using a cutlass, and even unclogging blocked drains in the community.

Mildred consistently stepped up as a spokesperson for her colleagues, never waiting for instructions and always leading by example. Her absence of sick leave and strict adherence to rules and regulations demonstrated her commitment. When cautioned on certain matters, she admitted her mistakes and corrected her behavior promptly.

She maintained excellent relationships with both her colleagues and the public. As a senior employee, Mildred was dedicated to the development of her peers. Her 37 years of exemplary service are greatly appreciated and valued.

HAPPY RETIREMENT MILDRED MARCELLIN!! 🥳🥳

The Canaries Constituency Council wishes to extend our sincerest apologies to Terry Melius "Jim" for a pre-recording which was played during the presentation by our Creole Queen at our recently concluded leg of the Nation Baton Relay. The recording was one used during the Creole Pageant held in October of last year. In the unedited recording, there was a statement giving accolades to Mr. Gregory Lorde as the designer of her dress. We'd like to address this blunder and respectfully acknowledge Mr. Melius as the mastermind behind the creativity of the sack dress beautifully worn by our Creole Queen, Ms. Petula Longville.
