In Loving Memory of Ms. Shanda Prescott
Tomorrow, the Stanley Jon Odlum School of Arts, Media and Design family will come together to celebrate the life, legacy, and remarkable impact of our beloved colleague, teacher, mentor, and friend, Ms. Shanda Prescott.
Ms. Shanda Prescott was more than an educator; she was a source of encouragement, compassion, creativity, and unwavering support to the many students whose lives she touched. Whether in her Homeroom, in the Food, Nutrition and Health classroom, or through Clothing, Textile and Fashion, she nurtured not only knowledge and skills, but also confidence, self-worth, and a sense of belonging.
Her kindness was quiet yet powerful. She had an intuitive ability to recognize when a student needed encouragement, a listening ear, a gentle word, or a helping hand. Through her patience, warmth, and dedication, she inspired countless young people to believe in themselves and strive for excellence.
As we gather to say farewell, we do so with hearts filled with gratitude for the gift of having known her. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her influence lives on in the lives she shaped, the lessons she taught, the smiles she shared, and the love she so freely gave.
To her family, loved ones, friends, students, and colleagues, we extend our deepest condolences and continued prayers during this difficult time.
Thank you, Beautiful Soul, for the light you brought into our school community. Your legacy will remain woven into the fabric of our school family forever.
Rest peacefully. You were deeply loved, and you will never be forgotten.
