Secondary School teachers participate in a Hydroponics Training to enhance the Agriculture Science programs at their schools. In response to critical issues of food security and climate smart agriculture practices, the TVET Unit conceptualized this training activity. The aim is also dispel stereotypes centered around occupations in the agricultural field and encourage training in diverse aspects relating to agriculture. The training which ran from August 29th to September 2nd, 2022 was held at the Grande Riviere Secondary School and was funded by the HCRP. The training was facilitated by experts of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The team of the TVET Unit extends warm wishes to everyone. It has been a rollercoaster year filled with challenges, opportunities and changes. However, our team has held strong through wonderful team spirit of warmth, collegiality, understanding, compassion and empathy. And so we share with you this year's special Christmas tree. The creative and innovative spirit that distinguishes the TVET Unit produced this beautiful tree from recycled toilet paper rolls. We collected them for a while and have decorated, assembled and lit up our 'tree' filled with good cheer, humor and positive messages.
Our team wishes all our collaborators, colleagues, friends, teachers, principals, students and our fellow St Lucians especially our skilled workers a blessed season and a New Year filled with hope and light. God bless us all.
