Spider remains the king of road rehabilitation throughout Gros Islet ,
No other representative, including Kenson , can rival his accomplishments in terms of roads .

Speak up for Gros Islet

What the hell is happening in Gros Islet ? Do we even have a district representative who Is able to explain to the rest of us , why the government of Saint Lucia is even entertaining the thought of constructing a helipad in the heart of Gros Islet?
Don’t we have enough noise and other pollutions already in Gros Islet ?
Folks speak up, because your community is being taken away from you , as a direct result of one poor decision after another !

The Water and Sewerage Company Inc. (WASCO) wishes to inform the public that there will be a shutdown of the northern section of the network on Monday 18th December, 2023 to facilitate urgent repairs on the raw water line. All consumers who are supplied by the John Compton Dam, Millet to Cap Estate, will experience an interruption from 6:00 AM.

Upon completion of repairs, all efforts will be made to have the supply of water restored within 24 hours. To minimize the effects of the disruption, the public is urged to store and conserve water from Saturday 16th December, 2023.

Please note that customers will gradually receive a supply of water as the network returns to normalcy. Customers at higher elevations and those at the end of the service line will experience a delay as the system recharges.

WASCO apologizes to its customers for this interruption and for the inconvenience caused.

The same manner in which Christopher Columbus lied about discovering Saint Lucia , and kept us in the dark for centuries , is the very same manner in which Bay Bay told us that he would work in the interest of Gros Islet’s poor.
Today, the only poor man who seem to have gotten a leg up is Kenson Casimir.

Is it true that steppers are earning less this year than at any period at all?
And if true , is the Step Programme basically an illusionary step up , and back to the reality of step down for the Malayway?
When will the poor in our country finally be given their dues in terms of employment year round ?

Nice suits and modeling , does not equate to effective representation.

Gros Islet deserves a more caring , politically matured and experienced hand to lead it after the next elections .
Kenson Casimir promised to do better , yet close to 3 years , he continues to demonstrate how disconnected he is to the real needs and challenges of the people of Gros Islet .
Under his watch , youth unemployment throughout the constituency of Gros Islet have risen .
The Gros Islet Steeet Party which he promised to improve , is no different than when it first started over 40 years ago . Basically , it is still an event conducted by a DJ , and nothing innovative or creative to promote the talent of young Gros Islians , including Gros Islet’s historic and illustrious past.
The vendors who depend on the proceeds from the weekly street party , could have benefited even more with an infusion of resources aimed at rebranding the street party .
A great number of roads throughout the constituency are in a deplorable state .
Single moms are struggling to make ends meet in order to provide for their children .
In fact , other than being a television personality who loves offering sound bites and loves being in the news , there is no serious directive from Casimir , who for the most part , can hardly be seen mingling with his constituents.
The constituency of Gros Islet shall rise , and will be safer and more progressive in the hands of a representative who truly understand the people of Gros Islet , and their struggles .
