Lucia Life Saving Association (SLLSA) is a non profit organization that advocates and advances the causes of Water Safety and Life Saving in St. The SLLSA does so by implementing various public awareness, educational, professional skills training and sports programs around the island. Lucia, kind corporate citizens, donor agencies, contributions from the general public and the International Life Saving Society (ILS).

Drowning claims more than 300,000 lives globally each year, including hundreds here in Australia. It’s a leading cause of death among children and young people – and yet, drowning is preventable.
Recognising the urgent need for action, the United Nations established World Drowning Prevention Day in 2021. Every year on 25 July, communities around the world unite to remember lives lost, raise awareness, and take steps to prevent future tragedies.
