Collaboration for Community Development Through Culture 🎶🤝

The Vieux Fort South Constituency Council was pleased to welcome Her Excellency Leiff Escalona, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to Saint Lucia, for discussions focused on the potential of music and culture to support youth development and community empowerment.

Ambassador Escalona met with Mayor Rhyesa Joseph and Deputy Mayor Kentry Frederick to explore opportunities for cultural collaboration and community development.

A key area of discussion was El Sistema, Venezuela’s renowned music education programme, which combines music and education to create opportunities for young people.

The meeting provided an opportunity to explore areas of potential partnership, particularly initiatives that could use music, culture and education as tools for youth development and community engagement.

The Vieux Fort South Constituency Council looks forward to exploring these possibilities and building meaningful partnerships that can benefit the community.
