අද (04) දින පෙරවරුවේ සෞඛ්‍ය හා ජනමාධ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය වෛද්‍ය නලින්ද ජයතිස්ස මහතාගේ ප්‍රධානත්වයෙන් මොණරාගල දිස්ත්‍රික් මහ රෝහලේ සෞඛ්‍ය සේවා සහ යටිතල පහසුකම් ශක්තිමත් කිරීමේ අරමුණින් ඉදිකරන ලද “මාතෘ සහ ශල්‍ය වෛද්‍ය සංකිර්ණය” විවෘත කිරීමේ අවස්ථාවට සහභාගී විය.
ජනතා බදු මුදලින් ඉදිකරන ලද මෙම නව සංකිර්ණය මහල් හතරකින් සමන්විත වන අතර, නවීන පහසුකම් සහිත මාතෘ ඒකක, ශල්‍ය ඒකක සහ අති නවීන ශල්‍යාගාර ඇතුළත් වීමෙන් ප්‍රදේශයේ ජනතාවට වඩාත් කාර්යක්ෂම, ගුණාත්මක හා වේගවත් සෞඛ්‍ය සේවාවක් ලබා ගැනීමට අවස්ථාව සලසා දෙනු ඇත.
විශේෂයෙන් මව්වරුන්ගේ සහ දරුවන්ගේ සෞඛ්‍ය ආරක්ෂාව තහවුරු කිරීමත්, ශල්‍ය ප්‍රතිකාර සේවා තවදුරටත් පුළුල් කිරීමත් මෙහි ප්‍රධාන අරමුණු අතර වේ. සෞඛ්‍ය ක්ෂේත්‍රයේ යටිතල පහසුකම් සංවර්ධනය කිරීම තුළින් ජනතාවට සමීප, විශ්වාසදායක සහ තිරසාර සෞඛ්‍ය පද්ධතියක් ගොඩනැගීම සඳහා මෙවැනි ව්‍යාපෘති විශාල ශක්තියක් වනු ඇත.

இன்று (04) காலை, சுகாதார மற்றும் ஊடகத்துறை அமைச்சர் டாக்டர் நலிந்த ஜயதிஸ்ஸ அவர்களின் தலைமையில், மொனராகலை மாவட்ட பொது வைத்தியசாலையில் சுகாதார சேவைகள் மற்றும் உட்கட்டமைப்பு வசதிகளை வலுப்படுத்தும் நோக்கில் நிர்மாணிக்கப்பட்ட “தாய் மற்றும் அறுவை சிகிச்சை மருத்துவ வளாகம்” திறந்து வைக்கும் நிகழ்வில் கலந்துகொள்ளும் வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்தது.
மக்களின் வரிப்பணத்தின் மூலம் நிர்மாணிக்கப்பட்ட இந்த புதிய வளாகம் நான்கு மாடிகளைக் கொண்டதுடன், நவீன வசதிகளுடன் கூடிய தாய்ப்பிரிவு, அறுவை சிகிச்சைப் பிரிவு மற்றும் அதிநவீன அறுவை சிகிச்சை அறைகளையும் கொண்டுள்ளது. இதன் மூலம் அந்தப் பிராந்திய மக்களுக்கு மேலும் திறமையான, தரமான மற்றும் விரைவான சுகாதார சேவைகளைப் பெறும் வாய்ப்பு உருவாகியுள்ளது.
குறிப்பாக தாய்மார்களும் குழந்தைகளும் தொடர்பான சுகாதார பாதுகாப்பை உறுதிப்படுத்துவதும், அறுவை சிகிச்சை சேவைகளை மேலும் விரிவுபடுத்துவதும் இதன் முக்கிய நோக்கங்களாகும். சுகாதாரத் துறையின் உட்கட்டமைப்பை மேம்படுத்துவதன் மூலம் மக்களுக்கு நெருக்கமான, நம்பகமான மற்றும் நிலையான சுகாதார அமைப்பை உருவாக்குவதற்கு இத்தகைய திட்டங்கள் பெரும் பலமாக அமையும்.

Today (04) morning, I had the opportunity to participate in the opening ceremony of the “Maternal and Surgical Medical Complex” constructed at the Monaragala District General Hospital under the patronage of the Minister of Health and Mass Media, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, with the aim of strengthening healthcare services and infrastructure facilities.
This new complex, constructed using public tax funds, consists of four floors and includes modern maternal care units, surgical units, and state-of-the-art operating theatres. It is expected to provide the people of the region with more efficient, high-quality, and timely healthcare services.
In particular, ensuring the health and safety of mothers and children and further expanding surgical treatment services are among the key objectives of this initiative. Strengthening healthcare infrastructure through projects of this nature will play a significant role in building a more accessible, reliable, and sustainable healthcare system for the public.
The event was attended by the Minister of Health and Mass Media, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, Deputy Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Cooperatives R. M. Jayawardhana, Member of Parliament for Monaragala District Sarath Kumara, the Chairman of the Monaragala District Pradeshiya Sabha, officials of the Uva Provincial Ministry of Health, and the Director and staff of the Monaragala District General Hospital.

අද (04) දින වාර්ෂික තේර් උත්සවය බණ්ඩාරවෙල ශ්‍රී සුබ්‍රමණියම් කෝවිලේදී මහත් භක්තියෙන් හා උත්කර්ෂවත් අයුරින් පැවැත්විණි. බණ්ඩාරවෙල ප්‍රදේශයේ සෑම වසරකම පැවැත්වෙන ආකර්ෂණීය හා සංස්කෘතික වශයෙන් වැදගත්ම උත්සවයන්ගෙන් එකක් ලෙස සැලකෙන මෙම උත්සවය සඳහා විශාල භක්තිකයින් සහ නරඹන්නන් පිරිසක් එක්විය.
සියලු ආගම් නියෝජනය කරන ආගමික පූජකවරුන්, දේශපාලන නියෝජිතයන්, රාජ්‍ය නිලධාරීන් සහ මහජනතාව මෙම අවස්ථාවට සහභාගී වූ අතර, එමගින් මෙම උත්සවය නිරූපණය කරන ආගමික සහජීවනය සහ සංස්කෘතික එකමුතුව තවදුරටත් තහවුරු විය.

Today (04), the annual Theer Festival was held with great devotion and grandeur at the Bandarawela Sri Subramaniam Kovil. Recognised as one of the most attractive and culturally significant annual events in the Bandarawela area, the festival attracted a large gathering of devotees and visitors.
Priests representing all religions, political representatives, government officials, and members of the public participated in the event, further strengthening the spirit of religious harmony and cultural unity reflected through this celebration.
The occasion was attended by Badulla District Member of Parliament Mr. Kitnan Selvaraj, the Secretary to the Ministry of Education of the Uva Provincial Council, and the people of the Bandarawela area.

Today afternoon (03), I participate in an awareness programme regarding the Mid-Term Plan to be implemented through selected development components up to 2030 by the Ministry of Education of the Uva Provincial Council.
The programme focused on the future direction of the provincial education sector, highlighting key policy priorities, strategic initiatives, and implementation mechanisms aimed at strengthening the quality and accessibility of education across the province. Discussions were centered on building a more inclusive, innovative, and sustainable education system that responds effectively to the evolving needs of students, educators, and communities.

This morning (03), I participated in the official commencement of the permanent restoration work of the Bathmadilla Irrigation Project, which was severely damaged by Cyclone “Ditwa”.
Following the destruction, it was possible to carry out temporary restoration of the irrigation project within a very short period under the supervision of the Department of Irrigation, with the support and contribution of the farming community.
Accordingly, the Bathmadilla Irrigation Project, which had been damaged and breached at several locations due to Cyclone “Ditwa”, is being permanently reconstructed at a total cost of Rs. 130.13 million. The official commencement of the permanent restoration work took place this morning near Pitawana, Suriyaketiya, Kandaketiya.
The event was attended by members of the Maha Sangha, Minister of Plantation and Community Infrastructure Development Mr. Samantha Vidyarathna, Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs Mr. Dinidu Saman Hennayake, the Chairman of the Kandaketiya Pradeshiya Sabha, officials of the Department of Irrigation, and members of the local farming community.

ஏற்பட்ட சேதத்திற்குப் பின்னர், மிகக் குறுகிய காலத்திற்குள் விவசாய சமூகத்தின் ஒத்துழைப்புடன் பாசனத் திணைக்களத்தின் மேற்பார்வையில் இப்பாசனத் திட்டம் தற்காலிகமாக மீளமைக்கப்பட்டது.
அவ்வாறு ‘திட்வா’ சூறாவளி காரணமாக பல இடங்களில் உடைந்து சேதமடைந்திருந்த பதுளை ஓயா பாசனத் திட்டத்தை ரூபாய் 324.43 மில்லியன் என்ற மிகப்பெரிய செலவில் நிரந்தரமாக மறுசீரமைக்கும் பணிகள் இன்று கந்தகெட்டிய, பின்னகெட்டிய கினிபெட்டி பாலம் அருகில் உத்தியோகபூர்வமாக ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டன.
இந்த நிகழ்வில் மகா சங்கத்தினர், தோட்டத் தொழில் மற்றும் சமூக உட்கட்டமைப்பு அமைச்சர் திரு சமந்த வித்யாரத்ன, இளைஞர் விவகாரங்களுக்கான பிரதியமைச்சர் திரு தினிந்து சமன் ஹென்னாயக்க, பதுளை மாவட்ட பாராளுமன்ற உறுப்பினர் திரு சுதத் பலகல்ல, கந்தகெட்டிய பிரதேச சபை தலைவர், பாசனத் திணைக்கள அதிகாரிகள் மற்றும் உள்ளூர் விவசாயிகள் உள்ளிட்ட பலர் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.

Today (03), I participated in the official commencement of the permanent restoration work of the Badulu Oya Irrigation Scheme, which was severely damaged by Cyclone Ditva.
Following the destruction caused, within a very short period of time and with the support of the farming community, it was possible to temporarily restore this irrigation scheme under the supervision of the Department of Irrigation.
Accordingly, the Badulu Oya Irrigation Scheme, which had been breached and damaged at several locations due to Cyclone Ditva, officially commenced its permanent restoration work today near the Ginipettiya Bridge in Pinnaketiya, Kandeketiya, with a major investment of Rs. 324.43 million.
This occasion was attended by members of the Maha Sangha, Minister of Plantation and Community Infrastructure Mr. Samantha Vidyarathna, Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs Mr. Dinidu Saman Hennayake, Badulla District Member of Parliament Mr. Sudath Balagalla, the Chairman of the Kandeketiya Pradeshiya Sabha, officials of the Department of Irrigation, and members of the local farming community.

අද (02) දින ඇල්ල ප්‍රාදේශිය සභාව මගින් සංවිධානය කරන ලද " දිරිය හරසර ප්‍රණාම " ඇල්ල පුරවරයේ දිරිය ජනතාව අගය කිරීමේ අවස්ථාවට සහභාගී විය. ජාතික වශයෙන් පමණක් නොව ජාත්‍යන්තර සංචාරක සිතියමේද විශේෂ ස්ථානයක් හිමි කරගෙන ඇති ඇල්ල පුරවරයේ දියුණුව සඳහා, නියමිත පරිදි බදු ගෙවමින් සහ නීත්‍යානුකූල ව්‍යාපාරික කටයුතු පවත්වාගෙන යමින් ප්‍රදේශයේ ආර්ථික හා සමාජීය සංවර්ධනයට දායක වූ පුද්ගලයන් සහ ආයතන මෙහිදී විශේෂ ඇගයීමට පාත්‍ර විය.
යම් පුරවරයක සංවර්ධනය රජයේ ආයතනවල මැදිහත්වීමෙන් පමණක් සිදු නොවන අතර, එහි ජනතාවගේ සහ ව්‍යාපාරික ප්‍රජාවේ වගකීම් සහගත දායකත්වයද ඒ සඳහා අත්‍යවශ්‍ය වේ. එම අගනා දායකත්වය අගය කරමින් මෙවැනි වැඩසටහන් සංවිධානය කිරීම, යහපත් පුරවැසිභාවය සහ වගකීම් සහිත ව්‍යාපාරික සංස්කෘතිය තවදුරටත් ප්‍රවර්ධනය කිරීමට හේතු වනු ඇත.
මෙම අවස්ථාවට ඇල්ල ප්‍රාදේශීය සභාවේ සභාපතිතුමන් ඇතුළු මන්ත්‍රී මණ්ඩලය, ඇල්ල ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම්තුමන්, රාජ්‍ය නිලධාරීන්, ඇගයීමට ලක් වූ ඇල්ල කොට්ඨාශයේ ව්‍යාපාරික ප්‍රජාව සහ ආරාධිත පිරිසක් සහභාගී වූහ.

இன்று (02) அன்று எல்ல பிரதேச சபையினால் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்ட **“திரிய ஹரசர பிரணாம”** என்ற நிகழ்வில் கலந்து கொள்ளும் வாய்ப்பு கிடைத்தது. எல்ல நகரத்தின் முன்னேற்றத்திற்கும் வளர்ச்சிக்கும் பங்களித்த உழைப்பும் பொறுப்புணர்வும் மிக்க மக்களை கௌரவிக்கும் நோக்கில் இந்நிகழ்வு ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டது.
தேசிய மட்டத்திலும் மட்டுமல்லாது, சர்வதேச சுற்றுலா வரைபடத்திலும் முக்கிய இடத்தைப் பெற்றுள்ள எல்ல நகரத்தின் அபிவிருத்திக்காக, முறையாக வரி செலுத்தி, சட்டபூர்வமான வணிக நடவடிக்கைகளை முன்னெடுத்து, பிரதேசத்தின் பொருளாதார மற்றும் சமூக முன்னேற்றத்திற்கு பங்களித்த தனிநபர்களும் நிறுவனங்களும் இந்நிகழ்வில் சிறப்பாக கௌரவிக்கப்பட்டனர்.
ஒரு நகரத்தின் முன்னேற்றம் அரச நிறுவனங்களின் தலையீட்டினால் மட்டுமே ஏற்படுவதில்லை. அதன் மக்களும் வணிக சமூகமும் பொறுப்புடன் வழங்கும் பங்களிப்பும் அதற்குத் தவிர்க்க முடியாததாகும். இத்தகைய பெறுமதியான பங்களிப்புகளை அங்கீகரிக்கும் நிகழ்ச்சிகள் நல்ல குடியுரிமையையும் பொறுப்பான வணிக கலாசாரத்தையும் மேலும் ஊக்குவிக்கும்.
இந்நிகழ்வில் எல்ல பிரதேச சபையின் தலைவர் மற்றும் உறுப்பினர்கள், எல்ல பிரதேச செயலாளர், அரச அதிகாரிகள், கௌரவிக்கப்பட்ட எல்ல பிரிவின் வணிக சமூகத்தினர் மற்றும் அழைக்கப்பட்ட விருந்தினர்கள் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.

Today (02), I had the opportunity to participate in the “Diriya Harasara Pranama” appreciation ceremony organized by the Ella Pradeshiya Sabha to recognize and honor the resilient and responsible citizens who have contributed to the development of the Ella township.
Individuals and institutions that have made significant contributions to the economic and social development of the area by paying taxes responsibly and conducting their business activities in a lawful manner were specially recognized at this event. Ella has earned a distinguished place not only at the national level but also on the international tourism map.
The development of a township cannot be achieved solely through the intervention of government institutions. The responsible contribution of its citizens and business community is equally essential. Programs such as this, which acknowledge and appreciate such valuable contributions, help promote good citizenship and a culture of responsible entrepreneurship.
The event was attended by the Chairman and Members of the Ella Pradeshiya Sabha, the Divisional Secretary of Ella, government officials, members of the business community who were recognized for their contributions, and other invited guests.

ඊයේ(01) දින බදුල්ල සරුංගල් කන්ද සංචාරක කලාපය පිලිබද ව්‍යාපෘති වාර්තාව මා වෙත භාරදීම සිදුවිය.
මෙම වාර්තාවේ බදුල්ල නගරයට ආසන්නව පිහිටා ඇති කදු මුදුනක් වන සරුංගල් කන්ද සංචාරක කලාපය සංවර්ධනය කිරීමේදී , මෙම භූමියේ පවතින විභවතාවය පිලිබදව ඌව පළාත් සංචාරක අමාත්‍යාංශය, බදුල්ල නගර සභාව, ඌව වෙල්ලස්ස විශ්ව විද්‍යාලය සහ තවත් ආයතන ඒකාබද්ධව මෙම ව්‍යාපෘති වාර්තාව සකස්කර තිබේ.
ඒ අනුව එම ව්‍යාපෘතිය සදහා අවශ්‍ය ඉඩම් පවරා ගැනීමේ කටයුතු මේ වන විට නාගරික සංවර්ධන අධිකාරියේ අධීක්ෂණය යටතේ ආරම්භ වී ඇති අතර මෙම යෝජිත ව්‍යාපෘති මෙම ඉඩම තුල සිදුකිරීමට අවශ්‍ය මුලික පහසුකම් සපයා රාජ්‍ය- පුද්ගලික ඒකාබද්ධතා ( PPP) ව්‍යුහයක් ඔස්සේ ඉදිරි කටයුතු සිදුකිරීමට නියමිතය.

நேற்று (01), பதுளை சருங்கல் கந்தா (Sarungal Kanda) சுற்றுலா வலயத் திட்டம் தொடர்பான திட்ட அறிக்கை எனக்கு கையளிக்கப்பட்டது.
பதுளை நகரத்திற்கு அண்மையில் அமைந்துள்ள மலைச் சிகரமான சருங்கல் கந்தாவை சுற்றுலா வலயமாக அபிவிருத்தி செய்வதற்கான சாத்தியக்கூறுகளை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டு, ஊவா மாகாண சுற்றுலா அமைச்சு, பதுளை மாநகர சபை, ஊவா வெல்லஸ்ஸ பல்கலைக்கழகம் மற்றும் பல நிறுவனங்கள் இணைந்து இந்தத் திட்ட அறிக்கையை தயாரித்துள்ளன.
இதற்கமைய, இத்திட்டத்திற்குத் தேவையான நிலங்களைப் பெற்றுக்கொள்ளும் நடவடிக்கைகள் தற்போது நகர அபிவிருத்தி அதிகார சபையின் மேற்பார்வையில் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. மேலும், இந்த முன்மொழியப்பட்ட திட்டங்களை நடைமுறைப்படுத்துவதற்காக தேவையான அடிப்படை வசதிகள் ஏற்படுத்தப்பட்டு, அரசு–தனியார் கூட்டாண்மை (PPP) முறையின் கீழ் அடுத்தகட்ட நடவடிக்கைகள் முன்னெடுக்கப்படவுள்ளன.

Yesterday (01), the project report on the development of the Badulla Sarungal Kanda Tourism Zone was officially handed over to me.
This report has been jointly prepared by the Uva Provincial Ministry of Tourism, the Badulla Municipal Council, the Uva Wellassa University, and several other institutions, focusing on the tourism development potential of Sarungal Kanda, a hilltop located in close proximity to Badulla town.
Accordingly, the process of acquiring the land required for the project has already commenced under the supervision of the Urban Development Authority. The proposed development plans are expected to be implemented by first providing the necessary infrastructure within the area and then proceeding through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework.
A group of officials, including the Secretary of the Uva Provincial Ministry of Tourism, participated in this occasion.

අද ( 31) දින ශ්‍රී ලංකා තේ මණ්ඩලයේ බණ්ඩාරවෙල ප්‍රාදේශිය කාර්යාලය සහ ඌව පළාතේ තේ කර්මාන්තයේ නියැලි සිටින පිරිස නැවුම් තේ මංගල්‍යයට සමගාමීව සංවිධානය කරන ලද " තේ පැන්" දන්සලේ ආරම්භක අවස්ථාවට සහභාගී විය.
බදුල්ල මුතියංගන රජ මහා විහාර පරිශ්‍රයේ පැවති මෙම දන්සල සදහා විහාරස්ථානයට පැමිණි බැතිමතුන් විශාල පිරිසක් සහභාගී විය.
මෙම අවස්ථාවට බදුල්ල නගරාධිපති නන්දන හපුගොඩ මහතා , බදුල්ල දිසාපතිතුමන්, ශ්‍රී ලංකා තේ මණ්ඩලයේ නිලධාරින් ඇතුලු පිරිසක් සහභාගී විය

இன்று (31), ஊவா மாகாணத்தில் தேயிலைத் தொழிலில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ள தரப்பினருடன் இணைந்து, இலங்கை தேயிலை சபையின் பண்டாரவளை பிராந்திய அலுவலகத்தினால் புதிய தேயிலை விழாவை முன்னிட்டு ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்ட “தேநீர் தானசாலை” திறப்பு நிகழ்வில் கலந்துகொண்டேன்.
பதுளை முத்தியங்கண ராஜ மகா விகாரை ஆலய வளாகத்தில் நடைபெற்ற இந்த தானசாலையில், ஆலயத்திற்கு வருகை தந்திருந்த பெருமளவான பக்தர்கள் பங்கேற்றனர்.
இந்நிகழ்வில் பதுளை மாநகர முதல்வர் நந்தன ஹப்புகொட, பதுளை மாவட்ட செயலாளர் (அரசாங்க அதிபர்), இலங்கை தேயிலை சபையின் அதிகாரிகள் உள்ளிட்ட பலர் கலந்துகொண்டனர்.

Today (31), I attended the inauguration of the “Tea Refreshment Dansala”, organized by the Bandarawela Regional Office of the Sri Lanka Tea Board together with stakeholders engaged in the tea industry in Uva Province, in parallel with the Fresh Tea Festival.
A large number of devotees who visited the premises of the Muthiyangana Raja Maha Viharaya participated in this dansala held within the temple grounds.
The event was attended by the Mayor of Badulla, Nandana Hapugoda, the Government Agent (District Secretary) of Badulla, officials of the Sri Lanka Tea Board, and several other distinguished guests.
