The Urban Development Authority (UDA), under the visionary guidance of Chairman Eng. M.G. Hemachandra, and Deputy Director General (HRM & Administration) Dr. W.A.S. Sumanasooriya, successfully organized an Attitude Development Training Program for all staff members of the Authority. The program, organized by the Training Unit of the Human Resource Management Division, was held on 21st May 2026 at the Stage II Auditorium, Sethsiripaya, with the objective of strengthening leadership qualities, professional attitudes, teamwork, and organizational excellence among UDA employees.
The highlight of the event was an inspiring session conducted by distinguished guest speaker Professor (Eng.) Ranil Sugathadasa, a globally recognized CEO Coach, Business Consultant, Leadership & AI Strategist, and Chartered Engineer and Professor at the University of Moratuwa. Professor Sugathadasa has coached more than 1,200 CEOs and business leaders across Sri Lanka, the USA, Europe, Australia, and Asia, while also training over 1.2 million leaders and employees worldwide. He is the author of eight internationally acclaimed books available on Amazon.
The training session, themed “7 Masteries for UDA Team,” focused on developing leadership excellence, strategic thinking, innovation, positive workplace attitudes, and high-performance teamwork. The interactive and motivational session inspired participants to embrace continuous personal and professional growth while contributing effectively toward the future development goals of the Urban Development Authority. The Urban Development Authority remains committed to enhancing employee capacity and fostering a progressive organizational culture through continuous learning and development initiatives aimed at delivering better service to the nation.
