සුපිළිපන් රාජ්‍ය සේවයක් සඳහා වන “සුපිළිපන් සංස්කෘතියක් - ක්ලීන් ශ්‍රී ලංකාවක්” යන ජාතික මෙහෙයුමට අනුව 2026 ජූලි 27 සිට 31 දක්වා ජාතික සුපිළිපන් සතිය දිවයින පුරා ක්‍රියාත්මක අතර, ජාතික ඵලදායිතා ලේකම් කාර්යාලයේ අධ්‍යක්ෂ ජනරාල් ඩබ්. එම්. ඩී. සුරංග ගුණරත්න මහතාගේ උපදෙස් මත, මෙයට සමගාමී වූ විශේෂ වැඩසටහනක් ජූලි 30 වන දින ආයතනික ශ්‍රවණාගාරයේදී ක්‍රියාත්මක කරන ලදී.

ජාතික ඵලදායිතා ලේකම් කාර්යාලයේ සුපිළිපන්න නිලධාරි / නියෝජ්‍ය අධ්‍යක්ෂ ලසිතා දේවගේ මෙනවිය විසින් වැඩසටහනෙහි අරමුණ පැහැදිලි කළ අතර, අධ්‍යක්ෂ (සංවර්ධන) නිරංජ එස්. ජයකොඩි මහතා විසින් ආයතනය තුළ සුපිළිපන්න සංස්කෘතියක් පවත්වා ගන්නා ආකාරය සහ එහි වැදගත්කම පැහැදිලි කරන ලදී. අභ්‍යන්තර කටයුතු ඒ්කකයේ ප්‍රධානී / අධ්‍යක්ෂ (පාලන) කුමුදු කරුණාතුංග මිය විසින් සුපිළිපන් ඩිජිටල් රාජ්‍ය සේවයක වැදගත්කම ද, ගණකාධිකාරී අනුෂා රත්නායක මිය විසින් ආයතනයක මූල්‍ය කළමනාකරණය පවත්වා ගන්නා ආකාරය පිළිබඳවද කාර්ය මණ්ඩලය දැනුවත් කළ අතර, ජාතික සුපිළිපන් සතියට සමගාමීව ඌව පළාත් ප්‍රධාන ලේකම් අනුෂා ගෝකුළ ප්‍රනාන්දු මිය විසින් සමාජ මාධ්‍ය වෙත නිකුත් කරන ලද පණිවිඩයක්ද මෙහිදී ප්‍රදර්ශනය කරන ලදී.

ජාතික ඵලදායිතා ලේකම් කාර්යාලයේ ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ ඵලදායිතා නිලධාරි කමල් කංකානම්ගේ මහතා විසින් වැඩසටහන මෙහෙයවන ලද අතර, මාණ්ඩලික නිලධාරීන් ඇතුළු කාර්ය මණ්ඩලයේ සියළුම නිලධාරීන් මේ සඳහා සහභාගි වූහ. ආයතනයේ අභ්‍යන්තර කටයුතු ඒකකයෙහි ප්‍රධානී, සුපිළිපන්න නිලධාරි සහ සාමාජිකයන් විසින් වැඩසටහන සංවිධානය කරන ලදී.

Invitation to Productivity Development Officers (PDOs)
The National Productivity Secretariat (NPS) is inviting applications from currently serving Productivity Development Officers (PDOs) to join the 4 i Project as Project Consultants.
The 4 i Project is a flagship national initiative aimed at developing 1,000 entrepreneurs across Sri Lanka through productivity improvement, business development, innovation and sustainable growth interventions.
This is an excellent opportunity for committed PDOs to become part of a national consultancy team and make a meaningful contribution to SME development while enhancing their own professional competencies.

As a Project Consultant, you will have the opportunity to:
• Provide consultancy services to SMEs in your assigned district.
• Apply your productivity knowledge in real industrial and business environments.
• Receive advanced exposure to consultancy methodologies and productivity improvement tools.

• Contribute directly to national economic development through SME transformation.
Support & Facilities Provided
Selected consultants will receive:
• Opportunities to participate in specialized training programs and consultant development activities.
• Technical guidance, project manuals and consultancy resources.
• Travel and other approved project-related allowances in accordance with project guidelines.
• Professional recognition and opportunities for future national consultancy assignments.
• Experience in a high-impact national program under the Ministry of Industry & Entrepreneurship Development.
• Release from selected routine office duties to facilitate consultancy assignments (subject to organizational approval).

Who Can Apply?
Applicants should:
• Be currently serving as a Productivity Development Officer (PDO) from the Districts of Ampara, Colombo, Galle, Gampaha, Hambanthota, Kandy, Kaluthara, Kegalle, Kurunegala, Kilinochchi, Matale, Matara, Monaragala, Mannar, Mulattivu, Nuwara Eliya, Puttalam, Ratnapura, Trincomalee
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for working with SMEs.
• Be willing to undertake field consultancy assignments.
• Possess good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Be committed to achieving measurable improvements within assigned enterprises.

The Training of Trainers (ToT) Programme for the 4i Consultancy Team, representing 17 districts, was successfully conducted on 14th and 15th July 2026 at HelpAge Sri Lanka, Boralesgamuwa.

The programme was designed to strengthen the practical knowledge, consultancy competencies, and activity-based learning of our consultants, enabling them to deliver effective, high-quality consultancy services to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) across Sri Lanka. The sessions emphasized practical tools, hands-on activities, and proven consultancy approaches that can be directly applied in supporting SME growth, productivity, and competitiveness.

This programme was conducted under the guidance of Mr. Suranga Gunerathna, Director General of the National Productivity Secretariat, and was organized by Ms. Umali Priyadarshani, Assistant Director, and Ms. Shyama Fernando, Mr Kamal Kankanamge Senior Productivity Development Officers, of the Entrepreneurship Development Division.

The resource persons for the programme were:

Mr. Harshana Arangalla, Project Officer
Mr. Darshana Kulathunga, Project Officer

The National Productivity Secretariat (NPS) successfully inaugurated the 1st Batch of the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification Programme on 13 July 2026 at the NPS Auditorium, Sethsiripaya, Battaramulla. Under this programme, 54 selected NPS officers were awarded scholarships to pursue the internationally recognized Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification. The programme is conducted under a five-year strategic partnership between the National Productivity Secretariat and the Dr. Mikel J. Harry Six Sigma Management Institute Inc. (SSMI), USA, represented by Lean Six Sigma Asia LLC.
The inauguration commenced with welcome remarks by Ms. Pranidhi P. A. Bopagamage, Deputy Director, NPS, followed by special addresses by Mr. R. M. Dumindu S. B. Ranaweera, Global Director of SSMI and CEO of Lean Six Sigma Asia LLC, and Mr. W. M. D. Suranga Gunarathne, Director General, NPS. This programme is expertly coordinated by Mr. Tharinda Marasinghe.
