New Zealand High Commissioner David Pine visited MIC Sri Lanka and held discussions with the MIC Coordinator, Mr. Shamir Shalih, and team, together with SLBFE Batticaloa, on progress, ongoing activities, and support for safe, regular, and informed migration.

Awareness sessions were conducted on 24 and 25 June 2026 in Thanthamalai, Kachchenai, Palamunai, and Kottamunai, focusing on safe, orderly, and regular migration with special attention to women’s participation.
