On December 18th, the International Conference on Social Sciences and Languages 2024 reached its triumphant conclusion, marking an inspiring milestone in academic collaboration and innovation. 🌍💡

We were honoured by the presence of our distinguished Chief Guest, H.E. Eric Walsh, High Commissioner for Canada in Sri Lanka and Maldives; the esteemed keynote speaker, Ms. Samadanie Kiriwandeniya, Director of Sanasa International Pvt. Ltd.; and the special speaker, Dr. Lakshika Liyanage, Dean of the Faculty of Management, Social Sciences, and Humanities at General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Ratmalana. Their invaluable insights enriched the event.

The Vice-Chancellor of the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, Prof. M. Sunil Shantha, and the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages, Dr. K.R.W.K.H. This initiative has been organized by the Department of Languages in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy, Colombo. The workshop is designed to enhance English language competencies in interactive teaching and assessment among English lecturers and undergraduates at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages, Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.
