Know more about Colombo Lotus Tower (CTL)
01. Tower Base
The Lotus is the bud shaped section of the tower. It consists of 09 levels starting at 215 m level going up to the height of 260 m level. The bud shape has been designed based on the renowned lotus flower and the petals have been illuminated by LED lights with changeable colors.
i) Roof Top - 15m Outdoor Space
This is the basement top of the tower base and it is used as roof terrace. Total area of it is 54080 sq. feet and this area is for open shows, gatherings and outdoor events.
ii) VIP Entrance - Second Floor
This level is also allocated for shopping complex and specific area has been allocated for VIP Entrance. Total space is 51980 Sq. feet.
iii) Shopping Complex - 1st floor
This level has been allocated for shopping complex and total usable space is 52,530 sq. feet.
iv) Entrance Lobby - Ground Floor
The ground floor comprises of main entrance lobby, VIP entrance lobby and two other side lobbies to facilitate smooth flow of visitors in busy hours. Also, ample space for shops and commercial activities. Total usable space of this level is 52,530 sq. feet.
v) Service Area - Basement
Tower base houses the main kitchen for banquet halls, revolving restaurants and vital machines for building services. Total space of the tower basement is 48560 Sq. feet.
02. Tower Stem
The tower stem contains three main elevators that can operate and Seven (07) meters per second speed, which would be highest speed elevators installed in a building in Sri Lanka. There are two service lifts that support passenger transport as well as good transport.
03. Tower House
Tower House is the bud shaped section of the tower. It consists of 09 levels starting at 215 m level going up to the height of 260 m level. The bud shape has been designed based on the renowned lotus flower and the petals have been illuminated by LED lights with changeable colors.
i) Observation Desk - 7th Level [245m to 250m]
This is out door viewing deck or observation deck and peoples can get panoramic view of Colombo city area at the level of 245m. The total usable space is 3045 sq. feet.
ii) Lotus Suite - 6th Level [240m -245m]
Sixth level houses a guest house. The guest house floor comprises of 06 guest rooms. Total space allocated for the guest rooms is 8330 Sq. feet.
iii) Revolving Restaurant - 5th Level [235m to 240m]
This is the Revolving Restaurant. The diners can have breath taking view of the Colombo city while dining. The revolving deck take approximately 90 minutes to complete one revolution.
iv) Banquet Halls - 3rd & 4th levels [225m to 235m]
These two levels have been allocated for Banquet halls. 03rd level banquet hall space is 7350 Sq. Feet and facilities have been arranged for 250 guests at a wedding ceremony.
04th level is also a banquet hall and total space of it is 7850 sq. Feet and facilities have been arranged for 280 guests at a wedding ceremony.
v) Transmission - 1st & 2nd levels [215m to 225m]
These two levels have been allocated for the Radio and Television transmission. First level is for radio transmission purposes and the total space of it is 7670 Sq. feet.
02nd level totally allocated for Television transmission and the total space of it is 9960 Sq. Feet.
04. Antenna Mast
This is the main component of the Colombo Lotus Tower and it can be seen at the top level of the tower (263m to 356m). Total length of the antennae mast is around 90m and it is a heavy-duty steel structure.
