Our energetic and highly motivated team of young professionals will guide and drive the projects of YFDJ with the assistance of island-wide network of project coordinators and field coordinators in addition to volunteers to ensure that the objectives of the organization are met with and fulfilled. The objective of the establishment of this organization is to promote Democracy and Justice which is

not limited to rule of law and governance. Organization is of the view that a truly democratic society should reflect equal rights as well as equal distribution of opportunities and essentials. However due to highly politicized environment in certain areas in addition to technical and geographical issues in Sri Lanka YFDJ has understood that such commodities don’t reach most of the vulnerable groups in rural areas. Therefore YFDJ is conducting projects mostly in rural areas to reach the grassroots to ensure equal distribution of essentials as well as awareness programmes relating to basics of rule of law & economic literacy to the needy people. YFDJ as a Nongovernmental social welfare organization in Sri Lanka shall adopt various programs and projects to promote;

- Rule of Law
- Democracy
- Human Rights
- Economic and Social rights financial literacy
- Importance of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
- Protection of Child Rights, Gender equality, Women’s Rights.
- Health and Sanitation
- Rural Development & Poverty Alleviation

Together, we can do more than we can do alone. Let's bring our abilities and passions together to affect real change in the system. The Uplands area in the Doluwa Divisional Secretariat, Galoya GN Division.

A devastating flash landslide has taken nearly 24 precious lives.
Ten houses were completely destroyed.
Out of the 24 victims, twelve had rushed out to save others, a heartbreaking reminder of the courage and humanity within our people.

Nineteen bodies have been recovered, and the rest are still missing and presumed dead.

Distributed health and sanitary kits 100nos including pillows, mats, soap, etc to the affected family.

සංවිධානයේ උපදේශකවරයකු වන සුසන්ත සෙනවිරත්න මහතාගේ සහ චන්ද්‍රා මාරඹේ මහත්මියගේ මූලිකත්වයෙන් මෙම කටයුත්ත සිදු කරන ලදී.

இரண்டாவது நாளாக தொடர்ந்து, எங்கள் உள்ளூர் பிரதிநிதிகள், ஏஹலியகொடை பிரதேச செயலகப் பிரிவின் வெலிவிட்ட, கெடஹெட்ட, இளுக்குபிட்டிய மற்றும் அம்பேமுல்லா பகுதிகளில் வசிக்கும் 500-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட குடியிருப்பாளர்களுக்கு புதிதாக சமைத்த உணவுகளை வழங்கினர்.

For the second day in a row, our local representatives provided freshly prepared meals to over 500 residents in, Welivita, Getahetta, Ilukpitiya, and Ambemulla of Ehaliyagoda DS Division.
