On 27th May, the Law and Society Trust (LST), in collaboration with the Movement for Land and Agricultural Reform (MONLAR) and the National Fisheries Solidarity Movement (NAFSO), launched a new report: "The Harvest of Transformation: Food Producers' Experiences and Recommendations in Advancing Systemic Change Toward Justice, Sovereignty, and Prosperity."
This report, led by LST, is the result of research conducted across Sri Lanka, gathering evidence from over 250 peasants, fisherfolk, and food producers practicing alternative approaches to agriculture, from production and marketing to consumption, both collectively and individually.
The research shows that the answer to the crisis in our current food system is not a distant utopia. It is a living political framework, food sovereignty, already being practiced in communities across the country.
