රොබෝ තාක්ෂණය පිළිබඳ පාඨමාලාවක්, ප්රදර්ශනයක් සහ තරඟාවලියක් පැවැත්වීම බෞද්ධාලෝක පදනමේ අධ්යාපන හා තරුණ කටයුතු පිළිබඳ කමිටුවේ සභාපති මහාචාර්ය රඟමණි වේරවත්ත මහතාගේ මූලිකත්වයෙන් හා සම්බන්ධීකරණයෙන් ද තොරතුරු සන්නිවේදන තාක්ෂණ කථිකාචාර්ය අධ්යයන සමායෝජක ලහිරු කරුණානායක මහතාගේ මෙයෙවීම යටතේ 2026 පෙබරවාරි 09 වන දින කැලණිය ගුරුකුල විද්යාලයේ දී රොබෝ තාක්ෂණය පිළිබඳ පාඨමාලාවක් ආරම්භ කරනු ලැබීය. සිසුන් 100 දෙනෙකුට අධික ප්රමාණයක් ලිඛිත සම්මුඛ පරීක්ෂණයට මුහුණ දුන් අතර ඉන් සිසුන් 68 දෙනෙකු සමත් විය. අනතුරුව සම්මුඛ පරීක්ෂනයක් මගින් 40 ක් තෝරා ගන්නා ලද අතර ඉන් සිසුන් 35 ක් මෙම පාඨමාලාවට සම්බන්ධ විය. එලෙස ආරම්භ කෙරුණු පාඨමාලාව 2026 ජුනි 15 වන දින සාර්ථකව අවසන් කෙරුණු අතර පාඨමාලාව අවසානයේ දී බෞද්ධ වත්පිළිවෙත් සඳහා රොබෝ තාක්ෂණය භාවිතය යන තේමාව ඔස්සේ සකස් කෙරුණු නිර්මාණ ඇතුලත් ප්රදර්ශනයක් සහ තරඟාවලියක් 2026 ජුනි 22 වන දින කැලණිය ගුරුකුල විද්යාලයේ දී සාර්ථකව පවත්වනු ලැබීය. එහිදී සිසුන් 26 දෙනෙකු සාර්ථකව පාඨමාලාව අවසන් කරමින් නිර්මාණ ඉදිරිපත් කළ අතර සහභාගී වූ සිසුන් සඳහා සහතිකපත් ද ප්රථම ස්ථානය සඳහා රු.30,000 ක් ද දෙවන ස්ථානය සඳහා රු.20,000 ක්ද තෙවන ස්ථානය සඳහා රු.15,000 ක් වටිනා රොබෝ කට්ටලයක් සහ සහතික පත්ර පිරීනැමීම සිදු කරනු ලැබීය. මෙහි තරඟ විනිශ්චය සිදු කරනු ලැබුවේ මොරටුව විශ්ව විද්යාලයේ ජ්යෙෂ්ඨ කථිකාචාර්ය ආචාර්ය කමල් වාසල මහතා විසිනි. මෙම අවස්ථාව සඳහා කැලණිය ගුරුකුල විද්යාලයේ විදුහල්පති ආචාර්ය කුසල ප්රනාන්දු මහතා ඇතුලු කාර්ය මණ්ඩලයද, බෞද්ධාලෝක පදනමේ ගරු සභාපති ජගත් සුමතිපාල මහතා, අධ්යක්ෂිකා සමන්තා සුමතිපාල මහත්මිය, අධ්යක්ෂ චඳු සුමතිපාල මහතා, අධක්ෂ චතුල සුමතිපාල මහතා, නියෝජ්ය සභාපති විශ්රාමික මහාචාර්ය ප්රණීත් අභයසුන්දර මහතා, ලේකම් පාණිනී වෑවල මහතා, අධ්යාපන හා තරුණ කටයුතු පිළිබඳ කමිටුවේ සභාපති මහාචාර්ය රඟමණි වේරවත්ත මහතා, පාඨමාලාවේ අධ්යයන සමායෝජක තොරතුරු සන්නිවේදන තාක්ෂණ කථිකාචාර්ය ලහිරු කරුණානායක මහතා ඇතුලු පිරිසක් සහභාගී විය.
Conducting a course, exhibition, and competition on robotics Under the leadership and coordination of Professor Rangamani Werawatta, Chairman of the Education and Youth Affairs Committee of the Bauddhaloka Foundation, and under the guidance of Mr. Lahiru Karunanayake, Lecturer in Information and Communication Technology, Academic Coordinator, a course on robotics was initiated at the Kelaniya Gurukula College on 09 February 2026. More than 100 students faced a written interview, out of which 68 students passed. Subsequently, 40 were selected through an interview, out of which 35 students joined this course. The course that was initiated in this way was successfully concluded on 15 June 2026, and at the end of the course, an exhibition and competition including designs prepared on the theme of Using Robotics for Buddhist Rituals was successfully held at the Kelaniya Gurukula College on 22 June 2026. 26 students successfully completed the course and presented their designs. The participating students were awarded certificates, a robot kit worth Rs. 30,000 for the first place, Rs. 20,000 for the second place and Rs. 15,000 for the third place. The competition was judged by Dr. Kamal Wasala, Senior Lecturer, University of Moratuwa. The Principal of Kelaniya Gurukula Vidyalaya, Dr. Kusala Fernando and his staff, the Chairman of the Bauddhaloka Foundation, Mr. Jagath Sumathipala, Directress Mrs. Samantha Sumathipala, Director Mr. Chandu Sumathipala, Director Mr. Chatula Sumathipala, Deputy Chairman Dr. Praneeth Abhayasundara, Secretary of the foundation Mr. Panini Wewala, Chairman of the Education and Youth Affairs Committee, Professor Rangamani Werawatta, and the Academic Coordinator of the course, Lecturer in Information and Communication Technology, Mr. Lahiru Karunanayake, participated in this event.
