ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදය යනු සමස්ත ජනගහනයෙන් රට පාලනය කරන පද්ධතියකි. ප්රායෝගිකව මෙය කළ නොහැකි කාර්යයකි. එබැවින් මුළු ජනගහනයම පාලනය කිරීම සඳහා අමාත්‍ය ධූරාවලියක් තෝරා ගනු ලබයි. එවිට රටේ පුරවැසියන් මෙම අමාත්‍යංශ මාලාව නඩත්තු කිරීමට වෙහෙස මහන්සි වී වැඩ කරති. සමහරු ආර්ථිකය තුළ මුදල් සැපයුම වැඩි දියුණු කිරීම සඳහා වෙහෙස මහන්සි වී වැඩ කරන අතර සමහරු විදේශ ආදායම වැඩි කරති. පුරවැසියන්ගේ තනි උත්සාහය රට සහ ආර්ථිකය ඉදිරියට තල්ලු කරයි. ඔවුන් බදු ගෙවන්නේ රජයේ ප්‍රධාන ආදායමයි. අමාත්‍ය ධූරාවලිය නොව රටේ ජනතාව රටේ ප්‍රධාන කාර්යභාරය ඉටු කරයි. අමාත්‍ය ධූරාවලිය කරන්නේ පාලන කොටස පමණි.
මෙම ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදයට තවත් බොහෝ සාධකවල බලපෑම් ඇත, සංස්කෘතිය ප්‍රධාන කාර්යභාරයක් ඉටු කරයි, පුරවැසියන්ගේ බුද්ධි මට්ටම සහ ගෝලීයකරණයේ ප්‍රතිශතය යනාදිය. සංස්කෘතිය මන්දගාමීව ගමන් කරන්නේ නම්, නව යාවත්කාලීන කිරීම් අනුගමනය කිරීමට මැලිකමක් දක්වන්නේ නම් ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදය අභියෝගයක් වනු ඇත. රටේ බහුතරය දූෂිතයන් හා දූෂණ වැටට ඉහළින් තිබේ නම් ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදය අභියෝගයකි. පුරවැසියන්ගෙන් බහුතරයක් ගෝලීයකරණය නොවන්නේ නම් ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදය අභියෝගයක් වනු ඇත.
ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදී සමාජයක, අදහස් ප්‍රකාශ කිරීමේ නිදහස, අපක්ෂපාතී මාධ්‍ය, විවේචන නිදහස, මානව හිමිකම්, ස්ත්‍රී පුරුෂ සමානාත්මතාවය, ආදායම් බෙදීයාමේ සමානාත්මතාවය වැනි යෙදුම් පොදු සහ ජනප්‍රිය ය.

ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදය ධනාත්මක වන විට රටේ සංවර්ධනය ස්වයංක්‍රීය දෙයකි. නමුත් සමහර ජාතීන් මේ සඳහා සැබවින්ම සූදානම් නැත. එම රටවල් වෙනත් ක්‍රම අත්හදා බලනු ලබේ. ඔබ මෙම ලිපිය නිවැරදිව කියවා ඇත්නම්, ඔබට වැටහෙනුයේ, යම් රටක ව්‍යවස්ථාවේ ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදී මූලධර්ම අතත් එම රට වසර ගණනාවක් තිස්සේ වර්ධනය වී නොමැති නම්, සැබෑ ගැටළුව වන්නේ වරින් වර තෝරා පත් කර ගන්නා රජයන් පමණක් නොව, රටේ පුරවැසියන්ට සෘජු වගකීමක් ඇත බවය.

Sometimes life gives you a hell of a time. You may feel like you have lost everything. But down the line you will realize the meaning of your experience. You will realize why the life gives you that hard time.
Life is always with ups and downs by nature. If you try to hold the moments without letting it flow, there is a high possibility of cracking the life in to pieces in some point of life. Accept things in life and move on. Its the best medicine.

සමහර විට ජීවිතය ඔබට කාලයක නිරයක් ලබා දෙයි. ඔබට සියල්ල අහිමි වී ඇති බවක් ඔබට දැනෙන්නට පුළුවන. නමුත් කලයගේ අවාමෙන් එම අත්දැකීම්වල තේරුම ඔබට වැටහේවි. ජීවිතය එවන් අත්දැකීම් ලබා දුන්නේ කිම දයි ඔබට වටහෙවි.
ජීවිතය සැමවිටම ස්වභාවයෙන්ම උඩු යටිකුරු වේ. ඔබ එම මොහොත ගලා යාමට ඉඩ නොදී රඳවා තබා ගැනීමට උත්සාහ කරන්නේ නම්, ජීවිතයේ යම් මොහොතක ජීවිතය කැබලිවලට කඩා දැමීමට ඉහළ හැකියාවක් ඇත. ජීවිතයේ දේවල් පිළිගෙන ඉදිරියට යන්න. එය හොඳම ඖෂධයයි.

Democracy is a system that govern the country by the whole population. In practice this is an impossible task. Therefore whole population electing a set of ministerial hierarchy to govern the whole country. Then the citizens of the country working hard to maintain these set of ministerials. Some are working hard to improve the money supply within the economy and some are increasing the foreign income. Individual efforts of the citizens push the country and economy forward. And they pay taxes which is the main income of the government. People of the country is the main not the ministerial hierarchy. They just do the governing part.
This democracy has influences from many other factors, culture plays a major role, level of intelligence of the citizens, and the percentage of globalization, etc. If the culture is moving slow, reluctant to adopt new updates, democracy will be a challenge. If the majority of the country are dumasses and corruptions are over the fence democracy is a challenge. If a majority of the citizens are not globalized democracy will be a challenge.
In a Democratic society, terms such as freedom of expression, unbiased media, freedom of criticism, human rights, equality of gender, equity of income distribution etc. are common and popular.

When democracy is positive the development of the country is an automatic thing. But some nations are not really ready for this. Those countries hould try some other ways out. If you read this article right, you will realize if a country with democratic principles in its constitution has not developed for many years, the real problem is not only the governments electing time to time but also the citizens.
