College of Community Physicians of Sri Lanka Centenary Celebration, marking 100 years of community health and public health leadership in the country 🇱🇰
Recognising the contributions of all public health workers who continue to strengthen our public health system, the event was honoured by H.E. President of Sri Lanka Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Hon. Minister of Health and Mass Media Dr Nalinda Jayatissa, Secretary Dr Anil Jasinghe, and Director General of Health Services (DGHS) Dr Asela Gunawardena of the Ministry of Health - Sri Lanka.
WHO Representative to Sri Lanka, Dr Rajesh Sambhajirao Pandav graced the occasion.
Over the past 💯 years, Sri Lanka has shown how community-rooted public health systems, supported by primary health care, can drive lasting progress, from maternal and child health and immunization 💉 to disease prevention, health promotion, surveillance and equitable access to services 🏥
