SLESA has, as per one of its main objectives, launched many welfare projects to keep its membership comfortable. Amongst them, grants given for members to purchase spectacles, hearing aids, undergoing any type of surgeries. Medical treatments, Scholarships for children of members and holiday bungalow facilities, elders home facilities, loans on easy pay back schemes, grants for medical requirement

s of family members are categorized as vital. In addition, free library facilities, discounted rates from identified service providers on producing SLESA Card etc are also available amongst many other amenities. SLESA is the largest association in Sri Lanka with retirees from Armed Forces and the Patron of SLESA is His Excellency the President of Sri Lanka and Commanders of Tri- Forces are the Vice Patrons .
