⚡️ Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Rodion Miroshnik:

💬 Over the past week, more than 400 civilians across Russian regions, including 21 children, suffered as a result of Kiev’s use of attack drones. The vast majority of these UAVs were supplied to the Kiev militants by Western sponsors – either fully assembled or as kits for local assembly.

Kiev’s forces launched more than 500-600 attack drones of various types against civilian targets every day.

The highest numbers of civilian casualties from Kiev’s attacks were recorded in the Belgorod Region, the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, and the Zaporozhye and Kherson Regions.

❗️ On August 17-23, 410 civilians suffered as a result of shelling by Ukrainian neo-Nazis: 364 people, including 16 minors, were injured, while 46 people, including 5 children, were killed.

Over the seven-day period, Ukrainian militants fired at least 7,462 munitions at civilian targets on Russian territory.

☢️ Zaporozhskaya Nuclear Power Plant ( ):

On August 25, two ZNPP employees were injured in a targeted Ukrainian drone attack.

The attack took place near the plant’s hydraulic structures while employees of the repair and construction unit were carrying out their duties.

The strike deliberately targeted nuclear plant workers responsible for ensuring the facility’s operation.

One of the injured employees is in serious condition, while the other sustained moderate injuries. Both were promptly evacuated to a medical facility, where they are receiving all necessary care and remain under medical supervision.

❗️ Attacks on ZNPP personnel while they are performing their duties pose a direct threat to human life and the safety of the ZNPP.

Despite the continuing tense situation, the plant’s personnel continue to carry out their duties and monitor the facility’s safety parameters.

From 29 June to 31 July 2026, the second part of the 31st session of the International Seabed Authority (ISA) took place in Kingston, Jamaica.

🇷🇺 Russian intergovernmental delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Dmitry Tetenkin took part in the session. It also included representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and specialised organisations.

🎙️In his speech at the opening of the Assembly, Dmitry Tetenkin emphasised the importance of the ISA as a key mechanism for implementing the provisions of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and set out Russia’s positions on a number of current issues.

In particular, the Russian Federation does not recognise the outer limits of the “extended” continental shelf unilaterally established by Washington in 2023, as this step is inconsistent with established international practice and fails to comply with the relevant procedures. Possible unilateral actions by the United States to exploit the seabed within these limits are considered unacceptable.

Russia takes the same position with regard to the Executive Order of the President of the United States of 24 April 2025 on deep-sea mining, which addresses the exploration and exploitation of seabed resources within the outer limits of the continental shelf of the United States and in areas beyond national jurisdiction.

❗️Unilateral steps to develop the deep seabed undermine the regime of the Area established by the 1982 Convention, erode the mandate of the International Seabed Authority, and pose a threat to the economic and social progress of all countries, first and foremost developing ones.

⚡️ Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation:

The West is once again staging anti-Russian provocations

The Press Bureau of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation (SVR) reports that, according to information received by the SVR, an intelligence service of one Western country, in coordination with its Ukrainian proxies, intends to stage yet another anti-Russian spectacle.

This time, the spectacle is set in Latin America, with a storyline straight out of a third-rate narco crime drama.

❗️ The plan is to accuse Russia of illegally supplying weapons to drug cartels and other organised criminal groups in Venezuela, Colombia and Mexico.

To this end, Russian-made weapons captured by the enemy during the special military operation are already being brought into these countries. Meanwhile, fabricated audio and video materials are being produced as bogus “evidence” of Russians allegedly supplying weapons to Latin American recipients through intermediaries.

To lend the story greater credibility, the fake “evidence” is expected to be supplemented with forged documents allegedly linking members of the Russian Armed Forces to the “scheme”.

The masterminds behind the provocation naively hope that this will undermine Russia’s constructive relations with countries in the region and pressure Latin American governments into supporting the West’s anti-Russian course.

👉 In reality, the Russophobes will only succeed in once again revealing their complete lack of moral restraint and their reliance on the same outdated playbook.

***

From the very outset of the Ukrainian conflict, the information war waged by Euro-Atlantic elites against Russia has relied on fabricating and amplifying the vilest narratives, with utter disregard for morality and the law.

The Bucha hoax staged in April 2022, which was then used to further escalate the confrontation in Ukraine, is a glaring example. However, such operations are hardly a new invention of Western intelligence services – they have long been firmly embedded in their playbook.

Suffice it to recall that World War II began after the Gleiwitz provocation of August 31, 1939, when SS men dressed in Polish uniforms attacked a radio station in the German border town of Gleiwitz.

☝️ The subsequent course of history, however, showed that the price of such staged provocations can prove extremely high – above all for those who organise them.
