138 million children ❗

That’s how many are engaged in child labour worldwide—many of them victims of trafficking and exploitation.

Through raising awareness, providing protection and safe alternatives for vulnerable migrants and strengthening national systems, IOM works to ensure every child is safe and protected from exploitation, trafficking, and child labour.

Child labour is a form of human trafficking.

Protecting the environment means protecting each other. 🌍💚

This World Environment Day🌱 we are reminded of the importance of collective action to protect the environment around us.

Sri Lanka, like other parts of the world, is facing higher frequency and intensity of climate-induced disasters. IOM works with government, partners, and communities to respond to disasters and build community resilience so that migration can become a choice. We also create evidence on climate and human mobility, feeding into policies that can leave a lasting impact. ✨💚
