πΏ Community Cleanup Campaign β Opatha Community
Continuing our commitment to creating healthier communities through the Dengue Prevention DREF Project, the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society β Galle Branch, in collaboration with the Regional Director of Health Services (RDHS) β Galle, successfully conducted a Community Cleanup Campaign in Opatha Community.
The programme was carried out under the guidance of Public Health Inspector Mr. K. G. R. Lakshan. We were pleased to have the participation and support of Hony. Branch Vice Chairman of the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society β Galle Branch, Mr. Upali Sirimanne, Chairman of Thawalama Pradeshiya Sabha, Mr. Deshan, Member of Thawalama Pradeshiya Sabha, Mr. Yasantha Sameera, and Community Mobilizer of the DREF Project, Mr. Sameera Sudarshana. We also sincerely appreciate the valuable contribution of Thawalama Pradeshiya Sabha towards the success of this community initiative.
The campaign focused on eliminating mosquito breeding sites, improving environmental cleanliness, and increasing public awareness on dengue prevention. We extend our gratitude to the residents of Opatha for actively joining this humanitarian effort.
Our deepest appreciation goes to the dedicated volunteers of the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society β Galle Branch, whose outstanding commitment, hard work, and compassion ensured the success of both the campaign and its humanitarian objectives.
