For the first time in the world, Birds Park Hambantota, Sri Lanka, has successfully bred captive-bred Lesser Birds-of-Paradise, marking a historic milestone in the conservation and management of this extraordinary species.

This achievement is the result of years of research, patient observation, specialised care and the unwavering dedication of our team. Every detail—from the birds’ environment and nutrition to their behaviour and breeding requirements, was carefully studied and refined.
