It was a great privilege and an honour to be part of INVICTUS '26, the Annual Convention of our Leos.

Our Leos are not only the leaders of tomorrow—they are leaders of today. Their energy, innovation, compassion, and commitment to service give us great confidence in the future of Lionism.

As Lions, one of our greatest responsibilities is to guide, mentor, and empower our Leos, creating a strong pathway from Leo to Leo-Lion to Lion. By investing in our youth, we are investing in the future of our communities and our organization.

Congratulations to the Organizing Committee and everyone who contributed to the success of INVICTUS '26. It was inspiring to witness so many young leaders united by a common purpose: to serve, to lead, and to make a difference.

It was a pleasure to participate in the Student Leadership Training Program organized by the Lions Club of Colombo Diamonds.

Leadership begins with character, grows through knowledge, and is strengthened by service. Investing in young leaders today is the foundation for building a responsible, compassionate, and successful society tomorrow.

My sincere appreciation goes to the Lions Club of Colombo Diamonds for organizing this meaningful initiative and empowering students with the skills, confidence, and values needed to become future leaders.

As I sign off from my responsibilities as Cabinet Secretary and District GMT Coordinator for the Lions Year 2025–2026, I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who stood beside me throughout this remarkable journey.

Serving this District has been one of the greatest privileges of my Lionistic life. The success of the past year was never the work of one individual—it was the result of the dedication, commitment, and teamwork of our District Governor, Vice District Governors, Past District Governors, Cabinet Officers, Region and Zone Chairpersons, Club Officers, fellow Lions, and our ever-supportive Lion Ladies.

To every Lion and Lion Lady who encouraged me, guided me, trusted me, and worked alongside me, thank you. Your support gave me the strength and confidence to carry out my responsibilities with dedication and integrity.

I am especially grateful for the confidence and encouragement you placed in me, which ultimately enabled me to earn the privilege of serving our District as the Second Vice District Governor. I accept this new responsibility with humility, knowing that it is built upon the support, friendship, and trust of this wonderful Lion family.

Although my tenure as Cabinet Secretary comes to an end today, my commitment to our District and to Lionism continues with even greater determination. I look forward to serving each of you as we work together to build stronger clubs, develop future leaders, expand our membership, and make an even greater impact in our communities.

Thank you for your friendship, your guidance, and your unwavering support.

Together, let us continue to serve with purpose, lead with integrity, and strengthen our District as One Family of Leaders.
