To those who are concerned about my whereabouts, I have not left the country or intend to leave my beloved motherland.
I felt the need to post this after i got to known of a wrong information being shared on social media about my whereabouts.
I belief that I performed all the responsibilities assigned to me as the Defence Secretary with my utmost dedication. I am humbled and proud to have been able to provide my services for the conclusion of the terrorist war and usher in an era of peace and security in mother Sri Lanka. Moreover I am happy to have made my contribution to overcome difficulties and challenges faced by the people as the Defence Secretary.
I must say that after the formation of the new government, I have not left the country and I have no intention of leaving my beloved motherland.
In fact I like to state for the information of those spreading false rumors about me, that I will not abandon this country that I was born and it is here where I will breathe my last breath.
Since relinquishing my service as the Defence Secretary I have found more time to be with my family and involve in literary work. I will be available at the book exhibition at the BMICH and anyone who wishes can meet me there.
