A stellar run at the SLC U17 Youth League Tournament 2026!

Following their incredible selection to the Galle Super Provincial Under-17 Team, our very own Yomiru Saswin and Raveen Sachintha have proven exactly why they belong among the island's elite youth players.
Taking the field with absolute determination, they delivered standout performances for Team Galle throughout the tournament:

Yomiru Saswin stepped up to the crease and anchored the innings with a solid 53 runs off 74 balls (including 4 boundaries).

Raveen Sachintha dominated with the ball, taking an impressive 11 wickets across 5 matches against top-tier teams (Dambulla, Colombo North, Colombo South, and Kandy), including a crucial 3-wicket haul in the semi-finals!

You both took the opportunity, played hard on the provincial stage, and made the entire Thomian community incredibly proud. The future is looking exceptionally bright for these two!

Strengthening the Thomian Family

Glimpses from the initiative to establish a formal link between St. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia, and St. Thomas’ College, Matara, strengthening bonds through sports, fellowship, friendship, and mutual development.
Both institutions share a proud Anglican heritage, having been founded by the Anglican Church, making them truly brother schools united by a common tradition and values. This proposed connection opens the way for students, teachers, and Old Boys of both colleges to build lasting friendships and strengthen the wider Thomian family.

Special thanks to Revd. Surain Fernando, Vicar of the Church of Ascension, Matara, for proposing this momentous step towards bringing the two Thomian institutions closer together

Our appreciation also goes to Rt. Rev. Dushantha Rodrigo, Anglican Bishop, whose vision for strengthening the bonds between these brother schools helped inspire this initiative.

May this new chapter pave the way for stronger friendships, greater collaboration, and a united Thomian family for generations to come.
