The Coconut Development Training Center (CDTC) is located within the coconut triangle at Bandirippuwa, Lunuwila, neighboring the Coconut Research Institute (CRI). The present objective of the CDTC is to provide comprehensive training programs to update the knowledge and skills of the personal involved in the coconut industry, including the officers of the CCB, coconut growers, processors and other

s interested in coconut cultivation. CDTC mainly focuses on in-house training to its technical and supportive staff to update their knowledge and skills thereby make efficient pathways to disseminate appropriate technologies to various stakeholders of the coconut industry. CDTC has been vested with authorization under the registration of Institutes and Examination (interim) Regulation, 1991 under Tertiary and Vocational Education Act No.20 of 1990.
